I did not watch the game because of commitments somewhere else. Judging from the people jumping off the cliff on the game thread, I feel pretty good that I accomplished something worthwhile than watching a terrible game.

No. I must admit that embarrassing display made me sick to my stomach.

I had hoped we would at least seem to have a pulse today. But, alas, another big game/another crapped bed.
Maryland scored two touchdowns against OSU @ OSU. The offensive scheme and playcalling is severely lacking. How about putting Pribula in the backfield along with Allar and Allen, pitch to Pribula, let him sprint out with option to pass or run?

Exactly. It was clear Allar was not on his game. Some days your starter doesn't have it. Why not put Pribula in for a series or two to change things up. Its not like they were converting on third downs all game:rolleyes:

That sounds like a JayPa offense with Mills and MRob. Would we have Allar run to the side like he’s a receiver as we did Mills?

Well, the most disappointing thing to me was 0-15 on 3rd down. This defense is so good but the offense totally gave them no chance today.

Not having a good day. Sick of the whole "unrivaled" BS. Tired of losing to the same team year after year. 10-2 this year losing to both OSU and Michigan isn't good enough. We need to beat Michigan in a few weeks.

You need to get over PSU Football and find your intra-day victories. You need to zen out.

Is Fraudklin really worth shortening your life span for? Not mine....

Fraudulent was a term I used after the game. But yes, it still pisses me off.

Another year older at age 74 and hoping to live long enough to see us beat OhioSt and M. At this rate I am not sure I will make it that long. Even if we win out we will not be in the playoff.

I am having a good day. I would hope that everyone on this board realizes it was just a game. No very important in the grand scheme of things (health, family, etc.). Sure it would be better if PSU won, but I hope we all have more important things to determine good/bad days.

I love fall, and after great delay all the leaves are turning here at once. I look forward to the task of getting them to the curb with the sweet smell of fall in the air.

My son’s birthday party started 15 minutes before kickoff, and watching the game live instead of being at the party never crossed my mind. The Dark Years changed my perspective for the better. Enjoy the wins.

Just finished watching the game. Glad I didn't waste my time watching this turd live. This was probably the worst of the OSU teams we've seen in the past 10 years and we couldn't move the damn ball. Total lack of creativity on the offensive side.

I think we're holding some plays for the rematch in the CFB playoff

It’s not about Franklin football. This is a decent but not great OSU team and the Lions still don’t have enough horses to beat the factory. That’s all.

The only way the good guys were going to win today: big plays and turnovers. Did that happen? No. It played out as expected.

A solid 6-7 yd run on the first offensive play of the game. Should have run it down their throat and set momentum early but no then a short dangerous long pass across the field and then an incomplete pass on third. The poor play calling continued all afternoon.

THEN

Electing to go for it instead of punting with 1/2 the 4th quarter to go was one of the most stupid decisions of Franklin’s history of dumb *** decisions.

BUT

The rest of the afternoon was worse much worse. Fonzie (my basset) and I spent 3+ hours at an ER. He and I had seen his vet Thurs. He was restless and wouldn’t eat, they kept him overnight and his blood work came back ok so he came home Fri and was ok until just after PSU ended. Then he got restless again and looked like he wanted to throw up, again no interest in food. (I figured it was because he watched the game HAHA.)

Anyway, x-rays showed no issues and he’s on meds and a bland diet for the next 3-4 days. Seems better tonight but it’s been a few very stressful (and expensive) days…..and I’m nervous to get through the next few days.

Please keep him in your prayers for me!

Lots of creativity.

Lack of line play and playmakers.

Absolutely! I am dreading the Franklin Defense Team sniping on the board this week but they can’t help themselves. The expanded CFP will give new hope. Just biding time until then…
I’m sure that’s JF’s attitude, too.

“Just wait until they soften the playoff structure. Then we’ll slip in through the back door. Occasionally.”

Then when they repeatedly get ousted in the first round, he’ll say, “Hey, we had a chance to win a Natty this year. What more do you want?”

But the answer is pretty simple: we want to know that the program can be competitive against other elite programs. And what he’s shown us for 10 years is that a) it isn’t and b) he doesn’t really seem to care that he can only beat weak opponents and lays down for the big dogs.

I no longer spend any emotional capital on Penn State football. I would rather they win than lose, but my life is unaffected by either result. I am halfway through Grant by Ron Chernow. 959 pages, but worth the time. I get far more satisfaction out of a good book than watching the athletic vagaries of 20 year olds. Christmas will soon be upon us and I will wrap myself in the magic of the season. Another year, another tree, and a million memories. Enjoy life. It passes in the blink of an eye.
May God bless us, every one.

Sorry to hear that Illinois. I will certainly offer a prayer for my favorite Basset. All the best.
