Yes, I wear Blue and White goggles, but this is less than lateral. Unless he gets co-OC at ND.
Good for him, but why now?

Everyone looks at promotion or money. No one ever looks at the every day stuff. Most of these coaches have families.

Yes, except in 2023 he was quoted as saying if PSU was his last coaching stop he would be ok with that because it’s been a hell if a ride at Penn State. So, if something changed in his day to day life, it has been recent.

I know all we will hear is coach speak, but I’m really curious what went south from 2023.

“If Penn State is the last place I go and finish my career, I’m OK with that because it’s been a hell of a ride,” Seider said in 2023. However, it now appears that it may not be his last stop.

Yes, things change, but with RB room at Penn State that he built, it’s a head scratcher for certain IMO.
If it’s money, paging Dr. Kraft.

Let the speculation begin ---According to recent analysis, some of the top college football running back coaches include: Cadillac Williams (Auburn), Damiere Shaw (Rutgers), Mark Atuaia (Washington State), Kolby Smith (Arkansas), Alonzo Carter (Arizona), Sean Dawkins (Cincinnati), Scottie Graham (Washington), Tyler Roehl (Iowa State), Devon Spalding (Wisconsin), and Trooper Taylor (Texas A&M), with Cadillac Williams often considered one of the best in the game due to his consistent development of talented running backs at Auburn.
ND RB coach who left for the Raiders was making over $725,000 at the Dome.

People make those kinds of statements all the time. It doesn’t mean that something happened at Penn State that changed his mind.

Sorry, LB99, didn’t read your post and basically I posted the same thing.

Things can change in an instant. What if he was/is happy working at PSU but his wife isn't happy in State College? Good coaches have options.

Here’s mine: I am the most blissfully oblivious person you’ll ever hope to meet. :)
I’ll give you a laugh. We’re in Hollywood at the moment and we did our laundry yesterday. This morning we’re packing up and I couldn’t figure out why I had one more pair of socks than briefs. Took me fifteen minutes to realize this was because I was wearing a pair of briefs and hadn’t yet put on my socks.

My uber driver is picking the Eagles.

College nostalgia for this board aside, State College doesn’t have a lot to offer a family that’s lived in bigger metro areas. And having grown up in State College, I imagine it has even less to offer a family of color.

My wife is a PSU grad like me, but she’d never remotely consider living there. For an up and coming coach, PSU offers a great resume builder, but nobody should fault the family for moving on after a few years.

This is the game. It’s good to see Franklin and PSU embracing it. They’ll find a great replacement.

To be fair, Singleton has underachieved from what he was expected to be as #1 RB coming out of high school.

#13 has overachieved…but he has been that way since his freshman year.
