Nope. I think Urban nine coaching lives are up. I would guess Hartline is next in line. He’s earned the shot.Mark it Down
The NFL is a fraternity. He’s coached there before. He would get a job. Maybe not HC, but OC or QB coach.I’d be surprised if Day got an NFL job. I think he’s out at OSU after this year’s debacle. They spent $20 million on a two-loss team that lost its fourth straight to Michigan.
College football is out of hand. Ryan Day lost by 1 point @ Oregon, and by 3 to Michigan. His overall record is 66-9.I’d be surprised if Day got an NFL job. I think he’s out at OSU after this year’s debacle. They spent $20 million on a two-loss team that lost its fourth straight to Michigan.
see John Cooper.College football is out of hand. Ryan Day lost by 1 point @ Oregon, and by 3 to Michigan. His overall record is 66-9.
The Buckeye faithful don’t care, losing to Michigan 3 times in a row was nearly enough to do him in, a 4th time to a mediocre 6-5 Michigan team after OSU spent $20mm is a bridge too far. I was told before this game that absent a national title he’s out if he loses this.College football is out of hand. Ryan Day lost by 1 point @ Oregon, and by 3 to Michigan. So who are they gonna get to replace him? Who has the cache? The Buckeye faithful don’t care, losing to Michigan 3 times in a row was nearly enough to do him in, a 4th time to a mediocre 6-5 Michigan team after OSU spent $20mm is a bridge too far. Their priorities are really out of whack. The Buckeye faithful don’t care, losing to Michigan 3 times in a row was nearly enough to do him in, a 4th time to a mediocre 6-5 Michigan team after OSU spent $20mm is a bridge too far. John Cooper was otherworldly for many years and he got canned for not beating Michigan. When you take $20 million for what you describe as a natty roster and lose 2 games, you hang yourself.College football is out of hand. Ryan Day lost by 1 point @ Oregon, and by 3 to Michigan. Fair. I assumed a head coach job in the NFL. I can see him as an OC somewhere. The NFL is a fraternity. He’s coached there before. He would get a job. Maybe not HC, but OC or QB coach.
He can take over the Jets!Fair. I assumed a head coach job in the NFL. I can see him as an OC somewhere.
I gotta be honest. That’s really poor wording.John Cooper was otherworldly for many years and he got canned for not beating Michigan. When you take $20 million for what you describe as a natty roster and lose 2 games, you hang yourself.
I’m not being literal there. Just saying he asked for a big intervention and got it. There will be accountability.I gotta be honest. That’s really poor wording.
I know. Just kindof cringe worthy given Day’s family history.I’m not being literal there. Just saying he asked for a big intervention and got it. There will be accountability.
I had no idea. Def not my intent there.I know. Just kindof cringe worthy given Day’s family history.
OSU has the CASH.So who are they gonna get to replace him? Who has the cache?
Yeah, right. Michigan basically cheated its way to a Natty last year. Remember what the Big 10 and NCAA did about it?He allowed his team to run back onto the field and get into a major fight that had to be broke up by using pepper spray. I have never seen something like this in my 60 years of watching CFB. That to me in itself is a fireable offense. Day just sort of stood there. IMO the NCAA and B10 have to do something, but I doubt they will. Both teams should be banned from post-season play this season.
I understand. No worries.I had no idea. Def not my intent there.
They’ll have to sit out the first quarter of next season’s game against NE SW Louisiana Tech A&MHe allowed his team to run back onto the field and get into a major fight that had to be broke up by using pepper spray. I was also surprised seeing Day just stand there staring into the distance. He should have been in the middle getting his players out of there. It was odd. There were punches thrown by multiple Buckeyes. There probably should be some game suspensions handed down by OSU, the Big 10, or NCAA but we all know there won't be.He allowed his team to run back onto the field and get into a major fight that had to be broke up by using pepper spray. Hartline has never had a true Coordinator role yet. No way they elevate him to HC. They feel burned by elevating Day.Nope. I think Urban nine coaching lives are up. I would guess Hartline is next in line. He’s earned the shot.
You’re overreacting.Day’s father committed suicide when Ryan was 8 yrs old.
I get it. It just didn’t sound right. You’re overreacting.
Ryan’s father didn’t even hang himself.
So who are they gonna get to replace him? Who has the cache?
Their priorities are really out of whack.
Not sure, Hartline promoted? I'll ask around.
Agree, but this is going to be the reality when you're asking boosters to spend that kind of money to buy the team. The expectations become unrealistic and the leashes become very short.
Makes sense. Their defense would be top notch and they would average about 13 points per game. Iowa vs Vrabel coached O$U would be a dogfight. First to 17 wins.Initial name I got back was Vrabel.
Day was just standing there staring during the melee. He seemed checked out .
