I’d be surprised if Day got an NFL job. I think he’s out at OSU after this year’s debacle. They spent $20 million on a two-loss team that lost its fourth straight to Michigan.
The NFL is a fraternity. He’s coached there before. He would get a job. Maybe not HC, but OC or QB coach.

College football is out of hand. Ryan Day lost by 1 point @ Oregon, and by 3 to Michigan. His overall record is 66-9.
The Buckeye faithful don’t care, losing to Michigan 3 times in a row was nearly enough to do him in, a 4th time to a mediocre 6-5 Michigan team after OSU spent $20mm is a bridge too far. I was told before this game that absent a national title he’s out if he loses this.

So who are they gonna get to replace him? Who has the cache?

Their priorities are really out of whack.

John Cooper was otherworldly for many years and he got canned for not beating Michigan. When you take $20 million for what you describe as a natty roster and lose 2 games, you hang yourself.

I gotta be honest. That’s really poor wording.

He allowed his team to run back onto the field and get into a major fight that had to be broke up by using pepper spray. I have never seen something like this in my 60 years of watching CFB. That to me in itself is a fireable offense. Day just sort of stood there. IMO the NCAA and B10 have to do something, but I doubt they will. Both teams should be banned from post-season play this season.

Yeah, right. Michigan basically cheated its way to a Natty last year. Remember what the Big 10 and NCAA did about it?

They’ll have to sit out the first quarter of next season’s game against NE SW Louisiana Tech A&M

I was also surprised seeing Day just stand there staring into the distance. He should have been in the middle getting his players out of there. It was odd. There were punches thrown by multiple Buckeyes. There probably should be some game suspensions handed down by OSU, the Big 10, or NCAA but we all know there won't be.

UM probably threw some punches too but I didn't explicitly see that like I did with OSU's guys. And any suspensions for UM players will be relatively meaningless anyway as they are off to a low quality bowl game. I did enjoy one video that showed someone from OSU barking at UM telling them to go pack their bags for the Bahama Bowl. :ROFLMAO:

The BIG will def get involved in this. The aftermath will be the lead highlight to start every sportscast from the final CFB weekend. You can’t have your conference heavyweights look like clowns needing to get pepper sprayed.

Not sure, Hartline promoted? I'll ask around.

Their priorities are really out of whack.

Agree, but this is going to be the reality when you're asking boosters to spend that kind of money to buy the team. The expectations become unrealistic and the leashes become very short.

Initial name I got back was Vrabel.

Makes sense. Their defense would be top notch and they would average about 13 points per game. Iowa vs Vrabel coached O$U would be a dogfight. First to 17 wins.

Day was just standing there staring during the melee. He seemed checked out .
