Well if your going to shroom my suggestion would be Joshua Tree. Its my favorite national park. Unfortunately its getting a little too popular.
I mean Gram Parsons loved it.
Seriously though it is such a cool place. Just do the West Entrance its way more interesting than the Cottonwood side.
Oh and you probably already know this but that famous album cover was a pic outside of Death Valley.
