I was at the grocery store last week and they were playing "White Lines" by Grandmaster Melle Mel.

I enjoyed listening to a song about cocaine abuse as i was picking up flour in small ziploc bags (because it's easier to measure in recipes.)

Ya gotta enjoy while you can.

I love the original and this cover. They made it their own.
In contrast, I love the way the Replacements changed the sound of this song to give it some real life and grit. I’m not sure I ever really paid any attention to the lyrics before this cover as it just sounded like bubble gum pop to me. This gives it some passion.
