The other 13 SEC basketball schools ranked by likability

Since we've all been discussing some of the other basketball programs on here of late, probably should've done this list last week, it does fluctuate for me based off what's going on but as of right now this is how I feel:

1. Mississippi St: the only time in 30+ years of SEC basketball that I've disliked them was when they beat us in the 2009 SEC Tournament.


2. LSU: don't have a lot of bad to say about them, Shaq was a beast when he played there. Respected Dale Brown when he coached there.

3. Texas A&M: if this was football, they'd be much lower.

4. Arkansas: only time I've not liked them is when they've knocked us out the SEC tournament. Really respected Nolan Richardson when he coached there.

5. Ole Miss: have a feeling they're gonna drop on this list in the coming years because of beard.

6. Vanderbilt: Their success at times as a program has made us look bad over the years.

7. Kentucky: don't hate them, but don't love them either.

8. Alabama: Oats is driving them further and further down this list.

9. Florida: didn't like them much during the Donovan years especially 1998-2001.

10. Georgia: If they were winning, would probably be lower on this list, really annoyed me in the Harrick years.

11. Missouri: Just something really annoying about them.

12. Tennessee: never been a favorite of mine in really any sport.

13. Auburn: Cheater Pearl, and players that act like they invented the sport.

Ok. I'll chime in. I mostly agree with your list. Georgia: I don't hate their basketball program so much. My most hated SEC teams right now are Auburn, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Florida. Vandy: Team is OK, but hate their gym floor is raised and the teams sit on the ends! Why? Teams earn my ire obviously by having a history of beating us and/or having a coach I don't care for. BTW, does Rick Barnes only coach urange teams?

I know before he went to taterville, he coached at Providence.

Thanks the advice. I wish I could go to the gym, but I had to stop going under doctors orders about 18 months ago when I was diagnosed with a fatal neuromuscular disease one year after I retired.

Georgia's basketball program is so bad it is hard to even think about them much less hate them. Auburn tops my hate list. Pearl is the poster boy for corruption in college basketball and Auburn is the perfect place for him. No one embraces cheating like Auburn. UT would be second for me simply because I hate all things UT. Kentucky doesn't really bother me much. They are a historical basketball power and they go after basketball like Bama goes after football, to win championships and I have to sort of admire that. Everyone else sort of muddles around together for me. I don't like or hate them and I don't really care what happens to them if they aren't playing us.
