We're going to make you a thoroughly one-dimensional team by giving you a wholly ineffective OL so that you will be entirely unable to run the ball.

Oh, and we're also going to take away your top WR.

Alive and well. Cockroaches and the chicken curse will be the only things left after a nuclear war.
Clemson friend told me years ago that the chicken curse didn't mean Carolina would always suck but that something would always happen that stopped them from achieving what they wanted. Looking back over the years, I think he was absolutely correct. The 2011 season was the epitome of the chicken curse. Carolina beat every team in the East but lost to Auburn and Arkansas so Georgia won the East. Carolina ended the season 11-2 and Georgia ended the season 10-4. That season really stuck in Spurrier's craw.

Yep. Just snakebit. Every single one of our best seasons has a "what if?" element to it. The Auburn loss that should not have happened is one. The Tennessee loss in 2013 was horrific. In a 7 game stretch, they beat us and South Alabama, and it was a home game for us no less. Then, of course, you have losing to Kentucky after taking down #1 Alabama by 14 points the week before.

We pick up a RB recruit who was shaping up to be one of the greats and his career is ended by, not one, but two devastating knee injuries.

This year, as it turns out, the SEC is in a pronounced downturn. There's nobody in the league who isn't beatable. Our QB is looking like one of the top QBs in football. So, of course, we have an absolutely atrocious OL and absolutely no run game whatsoever and we lose one of the top WRs in college football.

All I can say anymore is "of course that happened". There's just always been something standing in our way.

The 2013 Tennessee game was in Knoxville, but your point's still valid. That was a terrible loss.
