It was dirty. It was very late and not one of those couldn’t pull up situations. It was done to send a message. I’d bet that some on here saying it wasn’t dirty would feel differently if that is how Juice was taken out.

Now, I do not believe he intended to hurt him like it ended up being.

It was late, and he could have pulled up. I would also agree he was sending a message.

I, for one, didn't say it wasn't dirty, I just don't think it was egregious. Meaning, I've seen that in lots of games. If the guy doesn't get injured, it's a 15 yard penalty and no one probably talks about.

Certainly intentional but you gotta love that Deon and Travis Hunter took up for him. Deon said it was mistake but otherwise supported the CSU player. Hunter basically said those things are going to happen sooner or later in football.

They could have very easily pissed and moaned and made the CSU's player life hell for the next several month.

Much respect for Deon and Travis!

I agree. If it weren't for the acrimonious week leading into this game, I don't think we're having this conversation. The coaches have caused all this static.
This is all on Norvell! Didn’t see CS doing any unnecessary roughness like CSU even after the Hunter incident!! 🤷

How about when marcus got taken out against fsu? Straight on his helmet. Legit hit. Didn't say anything then.

It was a late hit. Not sure how many late hits are necessarily clean. So won’t say it wasn’t dirty. Just not sure we can pretend to know exactly what the kind saw either. There are hundreds of dirtier hits every Saturday in College Football.

Nope. The ball was overthrown and hit the ground. Guy took two or three more steps after the ball hit the ground before making contact.

Football play.
Penalty, maybe, but not what they are making it out to be. They love the controversy. Shoulder was down and protecting himself from how he was running, protecting himself.
Like others on here, I do not believe it was egregious as it has been made out to be. It was exacerbated by the back and forth between two coaches and the blowup of Sanders and Hunter as
players.

That said, it was absolutely dirty. It was not a football play. If that contact is made right after it passes him, I’d be on board. But when the play is in front of you, you can see the ball hit the ground and still take 2-3 steps before contact…not football. I also can’t figure out how you think he was protecting himself. That dude was sending a message. I’d bet a $1000 that he would not have hit any of their other receivers that late.

I also agree with some on here that the eye poke should be discussed as dirty as well. Can’t believe there hasn’t been more coverage of that.

Yeah you do! They already have their backs against the wall the next couple of weeks. Without Sanders, they have no chance. Lose, and season is over. Also doesn’t hurt when you are the coach’s son…and the coach happens to be the hottest topic in CFB.

With that rousing argument, you have convinced me!

You remind me of a kid that I once coached that got called for illegal man downfield. During film study, I asked him about it. His response was, “Coach that wasn’t me”. So I asked him “what number are you?” He said “52”. I asked him “what number is that?” He said “52, but I promise you coach, that isn’t me.”

Your first comparison was to the Lattimore hit. When i told you the difference between the two, you changed to he was protecting himself and turned his back. The picture proves that wasn’t true. So you change to head position.

Again, you have convinced me!
