How do you get around this, from Southwest's Website-

How do I get around what exactly?

The process is pretty simple. Click on the link below which takes you to the Southwest credit card offers (there are 5 options currently). As long as you haven’t received a bonus from a Southwest credit card in the past 24 months, you qualify for the offers. For the offer you referenced above, only $1000 is needed to be spent on the card in 3 months to earn the 50,000 point bonus. This is easily done with regular, everyday purchases (groceries, gas, restaurants, etc). When I get to the $1000 threshold, I put the credit card aside and wait for the bonus to hit my account.
