you are correct I was responding to RAZ, sorry @LionJim . I dont have an opinion on if this is a good move or not.

Trubisky is a band aid. Let’s hope tomlin grabs two offensive lineman with first two picks. Then next year go after a qb

Of all the possibilities this off-season, this is the one I thought made the most sense. Rodgers was never going anywhere, a trade for Wilson would have required giving up too much and they need much more. Wentz is a head case. Pass on anyone available in the draft, and wait a year or two to draft the next franchise QB.
The Steelers are in a good cap position, so if they can focus their attention on a few other key FA signings and fill some gaps via the draft, they could actually build something around Trubisky.

Agree 100%. Draft or get some FAs to help out the OL, CB, ILB, and Safety.
They can also draft a QB if they like one enough. They usually go into camp with 4 QB then cut one before the season starts.
Yes, but if they have the chance to draft an impact OL player who can start immediately or take a chance on one of these risky QB prospects..give me (and Najee Harris) the OL player every time.

Looks like the Steelers have finally came to their senses and realize that all the QBs in this year's draft class are useless stiffs.
I don’t disagree with your point, but OL should be the priority now. If they want to take a chance on a QB late in the draft to add depth, I’m ok with that. Haskins would have already been cut in any other scenario. He adds nothing to the roster.
I heard today that Colbert never drafted an OT in the first round during his 22 years in the position. I found that interesting.
Not a Steelers fan but I don't think it's a bad move by them. It's a thin QB draft class and the Steelers historically don't make blockbuster moves to improve their draft position. They signed a former first rounder and didn't give up anything. If Trubisky flops, they can release him since year two of the reported two year contract wouldn't likely be guaranteed. If they catch lightning in a bottle with Trubisky, they could either keep him or flip him for a high pick to a team which is desperate for a QB.
He was signed to be the starting QB. Rudolph or Haskins will be gone, if a QB they like falls to 20.

That is the complete opposite of what was said on Pat McAffee Show when the news broke. They reported that he signed a 2 year deal with the Steelers to be the starting QB. Daboll also wanted him in NY. The Giants would have been the better pick based on Daboll connection and a Josh Allen similar offense. He would have been signed as the backup to Jones. Trubisky will be the starting QB even if he has to compete with Rudolph. The Mason jar is that bad.
Great signing...now they need to go get the center from Iowa of the Cross dude from Ole Miss who tore it up at the combine. Most mock drafts I have seen say Cross will be there at 20.
I don't see Cross being the pick as they just signed Chuks for 3 years for 30 million today.
Give me the center then. Kid is a good one. But please fix the OL!
