Jon is either very right and Kiffin is trolling the ole miss fans or he is very very wrong. David Johnson seems to think Kiffin will at least be offered the job.

Jon, as the Sports Director, couldn't afford to post that on his twiter account and now on the WCBI website unless he had viable info that Kiffin was actually going to take the Auburn HC position. That could ruin his career.

He’ll just come up with some BS about “something changing after the fact” or other similar nonsense. Nothing is official until the ink is dry.

Maybe they paid him to leak the deal and ruin like us years ago. Leak the coach. Coach backs out.

If he's going the unofficial deal is before the last game with the rival.

Why would Soc take a chance on losing his job at WCBI if this doesn't pan out ? I kiff going to coach Om on Thursday and Aubarn on Saturday ? Be a first.

Now that the rebel's post season hopes are dead, they are trying to win the press conference. Folks are 17ing with the media so they can turn an Auburn spurn into positive crootin momentum. Smart, actually.

of course, I hope I'm wrong and lane pine boxes it out of town. He's a good coach.

Seriously? You think he’s losing his job if he’s wrong? If he’s wrong, nothing will happen and 6 months from now it’ll be largely forgotten. Journalism isn’t what it used to be. Used to be, be first and be right. Now it’s, be first whether you’re right or wrong.

If he wants to kill the rumors all he has to do is sign the extension. Not saying he is leaving or staying, but he refuses to give a flat out denial and he refuses to do the one thing that would guarantee him staying. But the way they played Saturday night it sure looks like there are some massive distractions around the team.
