Urbs daughter, this is war, my daddy is the bestest
"Always forced us on the stage to be in pics with him bc he couldn't enjoy the moment without us".

Funny how he didn't force them to be in pictures when he was groping another woman at a bar.

I mean to be fair, did people really think Urban was going to lead them to the PO right off the bat? They have a rookie QB, Marvin Jones is their best Receiver, and James Robinson has fumble issues. They pretty much need a total overhaul and It will probably take 3-45 years for them to even be a contender for the Playoffs.
What? Are they the new Cleveland Browns?

It's hard to believe that any major program will be willing to touch this guy now.

I knew this was going to happen, I would still take him at PSU over Mr. Saturday if given the chance.
So, you have the board name that honors Joe Paterno. Then say you would accept a coach who skipped out on his team after a road game loss, hangs out in a bar with a young woman who basically gives him a lap dance, and finally, has a butt-crack fingering of the woman.
How do you honor Joe Paterno while at the same time accepting behavior I think Coach Paterno would truly condemn and want nothing to do with that type of person?
IMO, you can’t have both.

Now we know why the Lambo incident didn't come out till the day Khan gave Urban his pink slip. Kicking a player may very well be a violation of his contract....hoping the scumbag walks away with nothing but my guess it will be a settlement of some sort. I would pay money to see what would happen if he kicked Chet Parlevecchio..or Trey Bauer!

Yes, but the kicking the kicker incident occurred during training camp and was reported to the Jaguars the next day. The team sat on this for three-four months. If it wasn’t cause to fire him three months ago, good luck making a case that it’s cause for firing him now.

IMO…Jags are using the incident to save them from paying full contract. I think they know they are not gonna get away .with keeping all of the contract.

You're right about trying to lower the buyout but in the article I linked a spokesman for the Jags said the kicking incident wasn't factored into the decision.

Wow...kicking a player is not a problem according to the Jags. Guess times have changed.

Jaguars reportedly don't want to pay the rest of Urban Meyer's contract after firing him for cause

The Jacksonville Jaguars have no intention of paying Urban Meyer another dime. The team reportedly fired Meyer for cause, suggesting they don't want to pay out the rest of Meyer's contract, according to Adam Schefter and Jeff Darlington of ESPN.

The Jaguars fired Meyer on Wednesday after just 13 games. Meyer's tenure with the franchise was mired by various embarrassing gaffes, the last of which involved allegations Meyer kicked his kicker.

There wasn't one specific instance that led to the team firing Meyer for cause. The Jaguars reportedly fired Meyer as a result of all those issues, per Darlington and Schefter.

It's still possible Meyer — or more likely his legal team — will work out a resolution with the Jaguars, according to ESPN.

It is not unusual for situations like these — involving negated guarantees — to later be negotiated by the two sides in order to avoid a prolonged legal situation. It will be up to the lawyers involved in any negotiation between the Jags and Meyer to try to figure out if they can resolve the situation.
Meyer signed a five-year deal with the Jaguars in January. His salary was never revealed, though it's expected he was due several million over the next four years.

A number of NFL players appeared to celebrate Meyer's firing. Even members of the Jaguars had a hard time keeping their emotions in check when discussing Meyer's exit.

Urban is still throwing his coaches under the bus as he's trying to damage control:

"As for benching Robinson, which left one of the NFL's best running backs on the sideline for an extended period of time against the Rams and which later invoked a public response from Trevor Lawrence, Meyer said the delay in getting the second-year RB back in the game was due to poor communication.
"We discussed it as a staff," Meyer said. " 'When you see someone lose the ball or even see them be loose with the ball, get them out of the game, get their mind right and then get them back in.' When he fumbled, I said, 'Take him out.' We took him out and then we had lack of communication about when to put him back in.""

NFL Countdown is now torching him. Rex Ryan told him to go back to college where he belongs.
