I thought he could at least make a MAC roster.
Maybe he gets nervous in front of crowds. If so, perfect school
he probably got a free drink as an NIL deal
I don’t get it. Pittsburgh native and BC starting QB Phil Jurkovec is transferring to Pitt also. If Villeaux doesn’t beat him out for the spot then he isn’t any better off than he would be at PSU.
Why can’t folks either wish him well or just STFU?

I don't think most people are making fun of him, I think most people are making fun of Pitt
I hope he does. Best of luck to him. I didn’t want to see him leave, but I understand.
I believe he'll be 2nd string starting the season at Pitt. That wouldn't be the case at PSU barring injury.

First, I really hope he does well and wins the starting job. Second, I sincerely think he could have done better.
That's what I was wondering about. The article indicated he could be starter in 2024 but what if they recruit over him through the portal again? He is in the same situation as he was going to be @ PSU as a back up in 2023. Head scratcher to me.

Narduzzi is locking down the state one portal transfer at a time. Franklin better be careful, or Pitt will become the "porta-portal potty of PA" for transfers.

Makes you wonder, though. There are a ton of former starting quarterbacks in the portal.
He was going to be 3rd string at PSU behind Drew and Beau next year if he stayed. He'll likely be 2nd string behind Jurkevic at Pitt.

Respectfully, I think you’re being a little too sensitive. Shots at at least going to a MAC level program, playing in front of empty seats, and getting free drinks as part of NIL are all clearly shots at Pitt.
I listen to a lot of podcasts from those that attend practices, including BWI and 247.
Wasn’t CV a 4* recruit? I can seee Allar getting the nod based on ceiling alone, but BP beating him out? Seems odd - says a lot about CV’s recruiting ranking or our ability to develop talent… Hard to believe a true freshman with a similar grade out of HS is clearly better than a guy with actual game experience.
CV was a consensus high 3* recruited by KC. BP was an early enrollee that has had as much practice time as DA. These are Yurcich's guys now. Not the former OC. That was a year after taking Roberson and Johnson Jr. in 2019.

Kentucky seems in on Mertz from Wisky and Leary from NC State. No mention of CV over there.
BP almost seems like a kid that came here knowing Allar was projected to be 3 and done. If he's comfortable with that, it's easier to peg him in at #2 and begin developing him. He seems to be a workout warrior and if he's close to CV (who everyone predicted to leave the moment Allar got the #2 spot in fall camp) you have to play to the strengths of what you can reasonably expect to maintain.
In the portal age you’re going to have a hard time keeping more than 3 scholarship QB’s. 1 of them is going to be a incoming freshmen most of the time. Good luck to Christian but he has to beat out Jurkevic now, and he still has 2 years available. It’s possible to hope Christian does well and sPitt still suck. That’s my plan!!
