Pope accomplished all of this with 3 missing starters!!! Who does that?! Who pulls that off- name the names.

Whats dukes record with 3 missing starters, or any other team for that matter? What say you?

He's a good coach for sure. He has his faults but I think he will work to improve those. I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have who would be a sure bet to come here. He has my support!

While I do think it was a ***** move by Lewis to run from the competition, I also think the situation could have been avoided by signing a one-year portal player. And Pope tried… he just struck out on all of them. Lewis is tearing it up right now for Villanova, really wish we could have kept him and paid Caleb Wilson more.

Pope is definitely a pitino guy. He’s faced adversity and he didn’t throw in the towel and he battled to fix a team with more injuries than any UK team that I can think. The SEC is a good conference and we have a chance to win it. With the way the season started, very few would have believed that.

Missing 3 starters and doing this is impressive. The blowouts still do not sit well with me, but I am impressed we are even in the conversation.
I would think this would be like TN without Gillispie and 2 others, Florida without Boogie, Chinny and maybe 1 more, those teams without them do not look very good imo.

It certainly does do that. The 98 17 point Duke comeback remains one of my favorites along with miracle at Baton Rouge. It’s not how you want to navigate the season though.

I don't know. We've already got a nice comeback win vs LSU. I'd take an Elite Eight comeback win vs Duke.

The question is what the heck is wrong with the players that causes them to have the slow starts? They should come out fired up and ready to play every game but they don’t.

I am and have been on board with Pope. Nothing wouid be better for the program than for him to have huge success here. But he has to start landing at least a couple stud freshman every year. It’s obvious that Pope is working very hard with this bunch. We have had some good wins but we have equally been completely ran out of the gym. We still have Florida twice, Vandy, Auburn and SC on the road and a Georgia team that can beat a lot of teams. We could do OK or we could end up with another sixth to eight place finish in the league. I choose to delay my release until I see how those games are gonna go. A mid pack SEC team should never be accepted, especially for 2-3 consecutive years.

Pope is doing a good job considering the injuries he’s had to deal with. Lowe and JQ haven’t been 100 percent healthy this whole year and I think both of them could have helped if they were. I don’t blame Pope for taking a chance on JQ because the kid has potential to be really good. I will give Lowe props for trying to play with that bad shoulder as well. I would like to see what he can do next year when he’s healthy before I judge him honestly.

Fans are going to be and should be excited considering how much this team has improved from the beginning of the year to now. It’s been far from perfect but excluding the Vandy game they have really played well recently.

People say 3 starters buuuut how many games did Kam start? He was coming along nicely and this team will definitely miss him but people act like “if only had Kam not gotten hurt”. I was big on him before the year but the first half of the year he wasn’t impressive. No need to rewrite history here to drive home a point

Absolutely but there is a core on here if you aren’t all in on pope you hate the man. He has obvious coaching flaws that need improved or he will not succeed here. If he isn’t successful then none of us are while he is here (uk basketball related that is).

He was playing a lot better when he got hurt. I don’t think I’m rewriting anything because he could 100 percent be a solid player for us right now if he was healthy.
