Friday (11/15) was the birthday of the late, great, Jimmy Ellis. He was a member, and lead singer, of The Trammps. To celebrate:

Friday (11/15) was the birthday of the late, great, William Edward John. He was known more commonly by his stage name, Little Willie John. To celebrate, his biggest hit, which has been covered by quite a few artists since Little Willie passed away in 1968. (And, a song which reportedly always got @fairgambit and Mrs. Fair out on the dance floor when they were young.)

unrelated - but it's food.

My Dad turned 88 today and He, Mom, my sister and Hubby went to Franco's where Fred and Maria took great care of them. May be the best food in PA. Just sayin'...

Blackledge in Franco's:

Friday (11/15) is the birthday of Anni-Frid Lyngstad. She was a founding member of ABBA. She more commonly went by the name of Frida. To celebrate, one of the few hit songs for the group where she was the lead singer:

Saturday (11/16) was the birthday of the late, great, Winfred "Blue" Lovett. He was a founding member of The Manhattans. To celebrate, a song he wrote that was their only #1 song:

Those reports were inaccurate. While Mrs. G could cut the rug, I, sadly, could not, and so in our many years together we danced slowly, or not at all. Ah, wait. One time...at a wedding in 1975, I attempted the Hokey Pokey and stumbled badly as I turned myself around. When I got out of the Emergency Room, I told Mrs..G, "never again," and so it has been.:)
