Music was definetely better then. So was my opportunities to enjoy time with the female form. ;)
We need to do a current music today jukebox because I don't agree. I think there is some very good music being done.

A little trivia on this song.......
  • Joe Perry brought a guitar to the studio to record his part, but when he wanted to add some bass, there was a problem: he didn't bring that instrument. Some kids that were hanging around the studio were willing to help out - they lived nearby, so one of them went home and retrieved a bass that Perry used to add that section. Those kids turned out to be the Beastie Boys, another act Rick Rubin was producing.

elcectic is a bone marrow affliction found in pit bulls

I'm struggling with typing these days with my laptop on the fritz. I pulled the word out of my brain as "electic" then went and googled that I needed a "c" and then put it in the wrong place, while the phone kept trying to change it electric. Good times.

God damn electric... with a new coat of paint. This one of the last great riffs.

The best show I saw in State College was when the Black Crowes graced our campus on 9/26/01. Everything was all screwed up but that night was alright. Here's a song from the same tour.

Much like the radio wasteland that was State College from '80-'85 (don't know what its like now but at least there is internet radio) I don't remember many good concerts while I was there. The Pretenders, Herbie Hancock and Steel Pulse, The Fixx and Arlo Guthrie were about the best during my time.

Black Crowes far and away the best. Run-DMC by the HUB was a bomber.

It's embarrassing but we all went to Family Values Tour and saw Limp Biscuit at the height of their "powers" when Nookie was the big hit. It was a fun night, all kinds of weirdos everywhere, acid freaks stuck in the elevator at Cedarbrook, late night kegs, you know, all that.

Oh yeah, Kiss! They were awesome. No one else cared but me but that was a good one.

I thought the free Violent Femms concert on the HUB lawn at an Arts Fest was one of the best concerts I'd seen at PSU well that and any performance by Queen B at Cafe 210.
