Howdy, FGFer.

Thank you so much! Muchas gracias! Merci Beaucoup!
We very much appreciate you moving to On3!
We very much appreciate your loyalty. Over 20 years for some of y'all.
If you're new to Gamecock Central, welcome aboard!

Making the decision to move a site – especially a community – is never taken lightly.
Any number of factors can go into the decision.
The bottom line now is this: On3 wanted us. On3 recruited us. On3 pushed for us.
Signing Gamecock Central was important to On3.
====
Since 1998, our goal has been to provide you with the very best coverage and community.
Moving to On3 allows us to continue doing that.
On3 launched on August 1 and is led by Shannon Terry. He founded Rivals and was the CEO when Gamecock Central moved to Rivals in 2004. Shannon also started 247Sports.
This newest venture promises to be the best. He's building a monster of a website and we all get to be a part of it. As of today, it’s six months old. So hold on!
I'm more excited about the future of Gamecock Central than I have been in a long time.
The best way to phrase it: I’m fully engaged.

• All of your favorite Gamecock Central insiders, reporters, photographers, and moderators are here.
• Most, if not all, of your favorite posters from The Insiders Forum have already subscribed.
• In addition to Gamecock Central's coverage, there's also a South Carolina channel with articles written by On3's national team. Many are quick, newsy articles. Others might be more in-depth. The South Carolina channel is located here. The stories also appear on the left side of the Gamecock Central front page (if using a computer).
• The national writers -- led by Ivan Maisel (formerly of ESPN), Chad Simmons (formerly of Rivals), and Matt Zenitz (a rising star) -- are the best in the business.
• College basketball recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw, a South Carolina grad and regular contributor on The Insiders Forum, started working for On3 in January.
• The Notre Dame, Michigan, Penn State, and NC State sites from Rivals have previously moved to On3. Reporters from Rivals that cover Georgia, Florida, and Auburn (and other schools) have already moved to On3.
• Speaking of other sites: As a Gamecock Central subscriber, you can read all of the message boards on the On3 network (read, not post).
• If you're an annual subscriber, you won't see national ads. (Gamecock Central will continue to work with a limited number of businesses that we hope interest you.)
• Have you noticed how quickly the site loads? Superfast!
• Some of you have already experienced how helpful On3's customer service is. It’s so nice that we don’t have to send you to an online chat for customer service issues. So. Damn. Nice!
MESSAGE BOARD STUFF
• Post counts. We’re going to transfer your post counts to On3. It will have to be done manually. It'll be a slow process. But it’s definitely worth it, IMO.
• I hope to save your member-since dates, although that may take a little more creativity.
• If you're a Garnet Trust supporter, I'll be adding that designation to your profile. It's my understanding that I'll be able to add the Garnet Trust supporter graphic to your signature.
• If you don’t have an avatar, here are some Gamecock avatars: https://www.flickr.com/photos/100058519@N05/albums/72177720296271326
• Avatars have a size limit. Here’s a site you can use: https://imageresizer.com
• Reminder: Some subscribers only visit the message boards to read Insider Reports or postgame analysis or to follow game updates, so they’re just finding out about the move and will be probably be confused when they get here.
• Let’s start with three "guidelines" ...
RIVALS LOOSE ENDS
Note 1: Contractually, we couldn't tell you we were moving to On3. That's our understanding and our attorney's understanding of our contract with Rivals. We're very sorry for any frustration or confusion it's causing. Obviously, we would have preferred to let you know in advance.
Note 2: We enjoyed our 18 years at Rivals. We worked with many wonderful people. A bunch of hardworking folks. We’re very appreciative of our time there.
Note 3: Here's what happens when you pay annually for a team site such as Gamecock Central that belongs to a network (Rivals, On3, 247).
• You pay for a year; the cost is $100
• The credit card company takes a percentage
• The rest is deposited with the network (for ex: Rivals)
• The network takes its cut (a percentage agreed to)
• The remaining amount is divided by 12
• The network makes 12 equal payments to the team site over 12 months
That's how it normally works.
But when Gamecock Central leaves Rivals, the payments to Gamecock Central stop.
An example: If you paid $99.95 for a year in January, Gamecock Central will receive less than $6 of it – and that was for the one month you were actually a Gamecock Central subscriber.
What’s the point?
• Gamecock Central did not take the money you paid to Rivals and run to On3.
• To help, On3 is only charging $1 for the first year.
Still, we realize it's not a good situation. Not for you. Not for Gamecock Central. Not for On3.
I hope this explanation – and On3’s $1 offer – helps a little bit.
Oh, and you’re getting a Gamecock Central Founders Club hat.
Again, thank you for making the move to On3 with us!
And, as always, thank you for being a Gamecock Central member!
