I don't understand why everyone is so afraid of Florida. Okay, they blew aTm out, well, that happens, but honestly, I think we match up well with Florida. Their guards aren’t elite and our guys have been shutting down guards that are better than Fland and Lee.

Yes, their front court is legit and deep, but our front court isn’t garbage. We have dudes too.

Also, the metrics show we are expected to lose in Rupp to Vandy??? Okay, same Vandy team that just lost at home to Oklahoma and were down 20 at one point?

Our guys are going to be motivated for that one, we ain't losing that game.

If we can win at UT and at Arkansas, we can win at Auburn and maybe at Florida.

I'm going with 5-2. But, it does bother me that we have a full week off before the Florida game, that's too long and I feel like we lose momentum whenever we don't have a mid week game. Camp Cal was the worst, it was like we forgot how to play basketball during fake Camp Cal.

I'd take 3-4 and no more injuries and winning a game or two in the SECT. Gotta beat Georgia and South Carolina, those are non negotiables. Get one more.

My heart says 5-2, my brain says 3-4. I want to be convinced we’ve turned a corner. But I’ve seen some really good UK teams lose SEC road games we should have won.
Kind of where I’m at as well. Feel like we drop both Florida games, @Auburn, and @A&M. But to be fair, feel like the only probable loss is @Florida. Others are very winnable.

FWIW Florida is the only one of these teams that’s above us in Andy Katz’s Power 37.

I’m going to say 5-2.
I think we can go 5-2 .... maybe even 6-1 as crazy as it sounds. We are capable to beat every team left on the schedule.

This is Kentucky.

We feel like we can win EVERY game we step on the floor to play. We might not win every game, but we go into every game thinking we can, and will win it. And with that mindset, we susually do.

Go Big Blue !

I think we go 4-3 down the stretch, 5-2 is doable, but so is 3-4 unfortunately.

But I think we win:

Home vs. UGA
Home vs. Vandy
@ South Carolina

Think we lose:
@ Florida
@A&M

The 2 toss-ups which will determine either 5-2 or 3-4 will be:
Home vs. Florida
@ Auburn
This is pretty reasonable. However, the two variables are so unpredictable. 1. Which Kentucky team shows up that particular game. 2. What kind of whistle in each game we get. These two variables are impossible to know.

We’ll see. I think we win a minimum of 3 of the 7 games. 4 being good. 5 being crazy good.

Very unlikely to win 6, and no chance going 7-0….thats not happening.

This is Kentucky. I would not take 4-3 if offered.
I would. Kentucky hasn’t been Kentucky in a few years. SEC is a thousand times tougher than it was thru the Calipari years here. Not to mention, the insane amoun’t of injuries we‘re dealing with. With this remaining 7 games, there’s zero automatic wins like there use to be in conference play.

Calipari missed the tournament complete twice in his 15 seasons, despite loaded rosters every year, and the SEC being weak. Pope is dealing with a totally different SEC, and he’s had terrible luck with injuries. 4-3 would be pretty damn good.

5-2 is possible, but only if we win the 3 remaining games at Rupp, which includes a tough Georgia team, Vandy, who kicked our asses a couple of weeks ago, and Florida, who is playing better than any team right now.

Yeah, I wouldn't put too much stock in what happened at Vanderbilt. Our guys were noticably out of sorts, they are a completely different team right now. Also, they just lost to the worst team in the league last Saturday, at home.
Yeah, Florida is tough, but so was Duke, Gonzaga, Tennessee (X4) and Florida last year. These are the games Pope has shown he can win.
I would feel differently if our guys hadn't swept Tennessee and won at Arkansas.
The only thing that bothers me about this upcoming game, is the week off.

I don't know if I'd go so far to say new normal. Cal averaged roughly 12 losses a season his last 4 years here too (16, 8, 12, 10) and one NCAA tournament win. And he continued on that train with 14 losses at Arky last year (but did make the Sweet 16).

We've been forced to choke down double digit loss seasons without postseason success since Covid regardless of who is the head coach, and whether or not we had NBA talent guys on the roster. We aren't quite Indiana yet, but this feels horrible at times, exciting at times, and unwatchable at times. BBN is going through it right now. We're terrible and yet a half game out of first in the SEC. We lose games by 20 where we don't show up and stage massive road comebacks against ranked teams with lottery picks on their rosters.
