Peach country!!! My Grandparents peach farm was in Little Chicago in Northern Spartanburg County and had a Campobello address...29322You want small. I’ll give you small. Campobello. Between Inman and Landrum. My cousin said when we used to visit Grandpa back in the 50s I thought who in the world would want to live in Campobello? Now everybody wants to live in Campobello. It’s a hot spot in Spartanburg County. Gramling is another small town close by.
I moved to Greenwood in 1982. They had been the Eagles for quite awhile before then. I think it started because of integration. They looked like the Packers when dressed out. But they changed the jersey color to black and changed the name to Eagles. They are now the Eagles. Probably since the ‘80’s.
Must have come from consolidation. What were they when Pinky Babb was coach? They are now the Eagles. Probably since the ‘80’s.

Are you from Clinton and how old are you? You may know my family!Clinton is like "Mayberry". Everyone knows everyone. "We missed you in church yesterday. Don't forget 'Whitefords" Oh those burgers and fries at Whitefords. Clinton also has the powerhouse in small high school football in Thornwell. All those SCISA championships in football and then you have the Clinton High School red devils with their proud history in football with coach Keith Richardson. Boy those Clinton High School football teams in those days were really good. Clinton is where I was raised but like a lot of small towns you have to go to Laurens, Spartanburg or Greenville to go to a theater. Everything was so good very little crime. People really care for each other.
Yes I grew up in Clinton (Thornwell) stayed there for 13 years and graduated. Right now the good Lord has blessed me I am 70 years old. I got to know a lot people in Clinton. But that has really been a long time ago as I now live in Rock Hill. Are you from Clinton and how old are you? You may know my family!
Is that Bantam Chef still in Clinton?Yes I grew up in Clinton (Thornwell) stayed there for 13 years and graduated. Right now the good Lord has blessed me I am 70 years old. I got to know a lot people in Clinton. But that has really been a long time ago as I now live in Rock Hill.
Passed through Johnsonville many times on my way from Georgetown to my grandma's house in Marion. I played the old Wellman club golf course once and it was excellent. I understand another course has been built on that property. I hope it does well.1. Johnsonville

Tommy Bell, early 1970s. He later became a writer & caddy and died earlier this year. Some of you football historians, did we not have a punter/place kicker from Walhalla?
Yes, the town had the old course renovated and it’s now open for play. It still has a bit of growing to do but it’s not bad.Passed through Johnsonville many times on my way from Georgetown to my grandma's house in Marion.
