Fonzie and I are dogsitting a neighbor’s cute little 5 year old Corgi Fri morn - Sun eve. Hope your’s turns out as adorable as Maddie did! Congratulations!!!!!
Thanks, Illinois. We lost our Sally back in April and it’s time for another, even with 4 cats the house is too quiet. Had her for 12 years and we just fell in love with the breed. We got Sally from a Corgi breeder in Carlisle, but she’s not breeding anymore, she recommended these folks down in VA. Combination birthday present for me and an anniversary present for me and my better half.

Headed to the Red River Rivalry in Dallas. My family attorney is a UT guy and we will be his guests. We have attended on 3 other occasions and it is a very good time. Our high temp in DFW will be only 71 degrees and sunny….perfect football weather.

Just a mini mini revue for you folks that like a rocking night out. Moulin Rouge is a big recommend. Is it the best or deepest musical ever? No, but lots of discussion on the way home last night. Is it Hedwig? No. Hamilton? Dear Evan Hanson? No. ( at least according to my wife )

But if you enjoyed Beautiful, We Will Rock You, Million Dollar Quartet, Bright Star, Memphis, Kinky Boots, Jersey Boys etc. you are going to love this.

The story is somewhat predictable but the song selection, choreography, and performance is off the hook. The encore ( I love theatrical encores like in Beautiful when she sang I feel the Earth Move ) was substantial and had the entire Benedum audience on their feet and singing and dancing. It delivered what many of us need, and evening of smiles, dancing and good times.

I was going to fix and stain my pergola, but it looks like rain all day Sat. Am in the office now, and will probably spend a couple hours here, getting caught up on stuff.

Sunday - have to visit a construction site, for a quick inspection on progress. I do it off hours, so I can take notes and not bother/be bothered by anyone.

Cleaning windows and screens as fall weather is coming. Should be 78 today and 74 tomorrow after 2 1/2 months of it being consistently over 95.
It was a brutal summer. When it got down to 92 everyone was saying how cool it felt. Bought firewood yesterday, getting ready for the cooler weather.

Son’s birthday trip to Six Flags Great America (pray for everybody’s sake that I don’t get accosted by some friggin 15 year old wannabe gang element). Fall came in a flash yesterday. Maybe rake some leaves and fire up the Solostove later.

Whale watching in the rain on the families' homestead in NEPA

"The impact of rain on whale sightings can vary depending on its intensity. Light to moderate rain may not significantly affect visibility, especially if it is accompanied by calm winds. However, heavy rainfall can hinder visibility and make it challenging to spot whales. If the rain becomes too heavy, it may be advisable to postpone or reschedule your whale watching trip for better conditions."

Actually, brought out and up the containers, the inside-rooms Christmas decor, for my wife this morning. She already starts to decorate for x-mas, and I love it. One of the very first things we bonded over was our love of the Christmas Holiday --(Christmas Eve bestows best feeling a holiday, spiritually and emotionally could ever emit). We'll watch our first Christmas movie of the year after the Phillies game this evening. Trains won't go up till 1st week in November though.

Bonus today, the boys threw Hissy fits when I was hauling up the decor. - (It took me thirty minutes). They claim it's too early for XMAS. The whine to mom and I "At least after Halloween". One fundamental certainty I hope impart to this board is as I demonstrate to them, "It's never too early to start celebrating Christmas!".
