What's the cheapest thing you could fix for gameday experience/atmosphere/etc?

Paid season ticket holders go between the 20s in the upper deck and everything else gets handed out to clubs/organizations/schools for free, with special recognition and events for those groups. A full stadium enhances the gameday experience and you are also tapping into youth who may not otherwise visit campus, so sets up a long term benefit for future enrollment.

I wish I could come up with something. Without wins I don’t see enough people being there or caring enough for changes to matter much.

The old put lipstick on a pig comparison comes to mind.
True enough. Wins are all that matters. All the video boards and LED lights in the world won’t help without a competitive team.

I don’t guess moving faculty seating to section 1 would cost much of anything. Headache for the ticket office. I don’t know when we’re due another full reseating, but probably won’t be unless/until demand improves.

Outside of wins - what's the one thing that would make an immediate impact at the lowest cost?
Nothing. I've had season tickets for years, but thinking about passing on next season unless I see some effort to infuse some talent on the defensive side of the ball - both new players and new coaches.

Aren’t we still using the dj? If so, get rid of him or at least limit his use. I don’t mind it for basketball… in fact the dj vibe seems to be a positive at the Hump but it just doesn’t work at football. I don’t like feeling like I’m at the club. Especially when it’s sunny and 80 degrees.

The biggest factor in improving the game day experience is that the team needs to become competitive again. To be honest, given the current cost of construction, investing heavily in NIL might actually be cheaper than any major stadium upgrades.

I also think adding chairback seats to the lower level (excluding the visitor, staff, and student sections) would go a long way. When it’s 95 degrees out, I really don’t enjoy being crammed up against the stranger next to me. This upgrade could likely be done quickly, though the logistics of re-seating everyone might be a nightmare. They will probably sell off the existing bleachers or scrap them altogether, but there’s also an opportunity to sell sections to season ticket holders as a fundraiser.

Am I misunderstanding?

are you saying out the people who pay in upper deck and give out the good tickets for free?

Better ribbon board presentation of national scores. It's a paid plugin that isn't currently set up well. The rotation is too slow.

More fan engaging, sponsored live "ads". The kiss cam, find the bell, the old Chevron race. Love it or hate, at least people pay attention. The "reverse eating" thing KY basketball does is amazing. We need to steal that.

More "celebrity" hype videos. Play on nostalgia. Get Smoot, Fitz, Mangum, etc to cut a video for us.

Overall timing of sponsored events needs to be improved. When you have momentum, don't wheel out Gertrude Jones and hand her a cowbell. Play some hype music and keep the energy up.

Bring back the ROTC cannon to scare the **** out visitors.

So let me get this straight, you make the people that actually care enough to pay money to come to a game, line up for elevators or walk up the ramps to sit at the top while free ticket holders sit in the lower bowl?

Ok, why are those upper deck ticket holders going to pay for a ticket when they can just sit on the 50 in your newly created free lower bowl? Also who makes up for the lost revenue from free tickets? Free parking for the free lower level free tickets holders I assume also?

Is it idiots or the trolls that are out in full force lately.......?

Are you people really this clueless? As stated previously I didn’t say anything about shoving lower level season ticket holders into the upper decks.

You very clearly stated in original post, "Paid season ticket holders go between the 20s in the upper deck"

Paid season ticket holders in the upper deck. I incorrectly assumed that would be obvious to everyone. Seems it was only obvious to most.

lol, you are so right about this. Always half a game behind, always. What an ignorant waste of space. The fact we can’t / don’t fix this tells a lot about our game day management & attention to detail

I can tell you the production of the football game isn't handled by trained professionals as it once was.

Stop playing all that damn Rap Music. Just play it during the pregame since the players love it. Most of the crowd don't want to hear that ****.
This is why polls like this can't really move the needle. I'm sure every time the AD sends out a questionnaire, they get responses like this too. There are some people on the extremes (both ends) who demand things that are completely untenable to the other side, therefore making them completely unrealistic. I'm sure to cancel this one out, someone on the other end will send in a response saying "cut out that country redneck crap, no one wants to hear that".

I have no dog in the fight, but I would have to admit - in the middle of a 4th quarter crucial drive, with the crowd buzzing and into the game, I would much rather hear DJ Kool than Billy Strings or Taylor Swift ffs.

Find some way to build on Unity. Like another poster said, have to find ways to be positive, use previous players, etc. Find a way to be positive without being unrealistic.
