Gee…a comment about our women going to the WH to be recognized by our President…and to get such negative comments. Being an older person, I long for the olden days when there was not such harsh feelings about politics.

i see platitudes & bumper sticker slogans but no assessment of any issue, or cognizance that an anarchist fixated on pet cannibalism is running
You lived in a foreign country, boss? Not visitied, lived? Third world country like Haiti? I lived in the Philippines for several years, and you best believe the rural community eat dogs; sell them field dressed in open air markets. Go ahead a sniggle and chortle content in the declaration of ‘no tangible evidence’ lol. Americans are soft and prissy; most don’t have a clue.

And those Haitians aren't in Haiti; they're in our country. Doing what they do in their country. But you know that; you'd just rather believe that a man running for president would just make that up. Prissy.

I think it has been going on longer than you have been alive. I remember as a little kid walking by a party political headquarters in the city. They had a large poster in the window saying that the then current occupant of the White House was going to swallow all of us up. And as a little kid, I remember watching old newsreels about the evils of the proposed Social Security program. I don't think today is any different from yesteryear.

I don't revere any occupant of the Oval Office. I do, though, revere the presidency.

Since I'm out in the open as to who I am, I'm not HIDING under anything. I therefore SEE what's happening. Certain others, on the other hand, are in blithe DENIAL. Worse, they LIKE what's happening, being part of the undoing.

....and I am sure there is a court record of a criminal action of a Haitian Defendant being prosecuted for stealing cats, right. I am sure you can find it in the same place as those unnamed people who voted illegally in 2020, Ha Ha Alledgedly.

What's happening KING and why are you worrying about it. By the time this undoing you are so worried about occurs, you and I will be long gone from here. As we age, we all age out of the culture of the times. Every generation has their good and bad. For example, I laugh at my father's generation. They are so scared of technology. .....and my father lived under Jim Crow you know. Couldn't vote until he was 28. Is that so great. So, people need to get off of their high horse sometimes and live by one of my father's favorite sayings, "Do the best you can with the sense you got"

If you think crime is down in this country and that the illegals are committing less crime, you are either ignorant, in denial or lying. Oh and by the way, entering our country illegally is a crime - that's about 12 million crimes right there that are not being reported like many others. The Democrats know this but are choosing not only to let them come in unvetted anyway, but rewarding them with housing, free stuff, etc. instead of taking care of the American low/middle class that would be getting those benefits instead. And I`m sure, even if your crime states were true, that is little comfort to the family of Laken Riley, the 5 kids of Rachel Morin, the family of the 12 yo girl in Texas who was raped and tortured for 2 hrs. before being killed. Many more victims unless you have your head in the sand. What about all of the missing kids that are being sex trafficked? I thought Kamala cared about women?

Crime rates, especially violent crime rates have been dropping for years to be honest. You had way more crime in the 80's and 90's. Republicans play shock politics instead of assessing data for what it is.

That's not true. NYC was cleaned up in the 90's by a republican mayor. Everybody appreciated it at the time. Now it’s a s*** hole. Shock politics? Democrats lie.

Figures. Your side didn't even do the minimum. But you thank them every two years.
You don't know who I vote for. I have voted for Republicans before. However, this new version of Republican is so whiny it's a big turnoff. Always whining. The country is great but everything is terrible. Make up your mind. These whiners should be sentenced to have a talk with folks like my parents when they start all that whining. Gives you some perspective. So, no matter the issues that I may bring up, I remain optimistic. It's embarrassing that Black people have the least overall wealth in the country, but every poll says their group has the most optimism. Ought to tell some people something so that they can get their minds right.

I know you who vote for. You've actually made it very clear. It looks like Trump might get 20% of the young black male voters this time instead of the usual 6-8%. Some people ARE getting their minds right. I remember pulling into a park and praying hard for you a few years ago. I forget what troubles you were having but you were going through some things. I'm going to pray for you tonight. Believe it or not but I care about you. I'm going to bed now. We can talk some more tomorrow.

if you are talking about Trump, it's clear and it's not because he is a Republican. It's because he's a guy with no morals, doesn't pay his bills, serial cheater, but Republicans continuously give him a pass for things they would never give me a pass for. He is a living, breathing embodiment of White privilege that would be a turnoff to any self-respecting person that believes the rules should be the same for everyone. Now, let me hush and get back to the optimism of a great football weekend.

....and stop dreaming about that big turnaround of Blacks to Trump. This is talked about every election cycle. Trump will get 8-10% tops when it is said and done. ...and that may be enough for him to win

Have you heard about this little thing called FBi stats. They are clearly available and their report comes out every year. Oh, I forgot. The FBI is this dark part of the deep state that's cooking the books. SMH. There is no end to right-wing whining these days.

I’m sorry…..but you cannot seriously claim Trump is all of those things and then turn a blind eye to the Democrat party as a whole. I’m no MAGA nut who votes for Trump just because he is Trump. I vote for Trump because, while he has many faults, there is no way I can say his moral values and beliefs are worse for the country than almost any Democrat that the party will nominate. About that nomination……how did Kamala get the nomination to run for president in the first place? That is a very curious situation….

Obviously, from the standpoint of technology, and scientifically in general, EVERYTHING is better than it once was, and that trend will continue. On a cautionary note, I think that some of the the potentialities of AI have to be viewed with concern, but I don't obsess over that.

That aside, I want my descendants to have at least a vestige of the better and more genteel aspects of the life I have enjoyed throughout most of my years, things that have to do with faith, family, and community. Those things are worth striving for and wishing for the folks you love.

I have no eternal qualms. But right now, I do ruminate on trends that I consider to be not salutary. And I humbly suspect that, when you reach my age (74 soon), you might also have more ponderings along those lines. You begin to realize that you won't see the outcome certain matters you have pending which matter to you - mainly things regarding the wellbeing of your loved ones.

I've only begun thinking more about these things within the last year or so. No, I'm not sick or anything, but there comes a time when age becomes more than a number.

I appreciate you, Friend.

I think you hit the nail on the head with your descendants. I think that is my biggest issue with today’s Democrat party. They will pretend to be all about family and caring about future generations, but then almost every policy says otherwise. I find it insulting to my intelligence that they will say to my face they care so much about my kids and my family but then attempt to put policies and laws in place that are clearly to their detriment.

I'll have to disagree. The respect due the office is directly related to the respect earned by the occupant of the office. If you separate the officeholder from the office, you are asking people to respect a building or a position created on a piece of paper. The president is a person and that person has to earn respect.
No. If you go down that rabbit hole, you make a White House visit political.. Better to not have have such visits altogether in that case.

Sad that so many of you try to unnecessarily politicize an activity. Your concern for the health of our Republic is always warranted (I'm concerned too) but that's not the time and place to express it.

way more americans support the dems than the cult
the popular vote goes consistently to them
i guess over half the country wants dems to suppress their widdle hurt feelings
being in a cult restricts ones vision

Everything you have said on this thread is a straw man argument at its finest to deflect from actually making any solid points. Just like Kamala Harris and her beautiful middle class lawns.

And I’m not making any sort of argument about the popular vote. As another obviously Democrat poster pointed out on here earlier, Dems only care about themselves and we shouldn’t care about the number of illegal immigrants because we will all be “long gone” by the time it has any significant effects. And that’s exactly my point. The Democratic Party is all about selfishness and me, myself, and I, not about family and future generations. And because we have a majority of people who feel that way is exactly why we are trending toward third world status.
