Last I checked (Feb. 11, 2023), 98 schools in PA had committed to starting a girl's program. As a reminder, the PIAA had indicated that they would begin holding PIAA Girls Wrestling Championships once the threshold of 100 teams had been met in the sport. So what's happened in the past week?

YEAH!!!! Outstanding work by all that advocated for this, for the 98 school districts that committed to creating girls wrestling programs in their respective schools as of Feb. 11. And congratulations to the two District 1 districts that committed to creating girls wrestling programs at their respective schools, which means that the 100 team PIAA threshold has been met. I look forward to the 2024 PIAA Girls State Wrestling Championships (I'm guessing that's when the PIAA will start things).

Nice language, not.

Yeah, I debated posting that due to the language. Willie can be that way at times. In the end, I thought that it captured the sentiment pretty well, and would be of interest to PA wrestling fans.

A look at the girls programs that have been announced/created in PA, by District. A should out to District 3, which really set the standard.
