The Sem is down (relatively speaking) when compared to some of their recent teams. I was looking forward to seeing how this dual played out. Sam Herring vs. Matthew Botello was a good matchup, and it's nice to see Herring get the narrow DEC. Bouzakis gave Magro a heck of a battle. Correa was a huge favorite, but you don't see a lot of pins in 0:19 at 215. @El_Jefe -- any comments on the dual?

Yeah, McCort's 215 has a pretty good kip-up, now needs to work on bottom.

Seriously, I haven't watched it and probably won't ... largely because I'm bored by those lineups. The only matchups that interested me were 138 and 157.

Good win for Herring. He's quietly having a very good year, and will be a threat to win states this year. He will most likely be the 4 seed and get Harer in the semis.

Surprised Bouzakis lost to Magro. Thought it would be close, but the other direction.

Seminary's lineup looked unimpressive, at least for them. Desmond's injury hurts. Also no Evanitsky -- is he injured too? But even with them, that might not have been enough.

I take anything Pat Mineo says with a grain of salt. However, if these stories are true it's absolutely mind blowing. Nobody else treats their alumni like this. I have never heard anything like this from any program in any sport.

I can't remember if I previously posted this (in this thread, or another thread). Either way, it's worth looking at and appreciating, whether it's the 1st time of the X time you've seen it.

LMAO. I'm flexible enough that I could get in this position while reffing. But I've never done so, as 1) it would delay your moving should the wrestlers pivot, or you need to check the other side for a potential pin, and 2) you can get your head lower to check if a pin criteria is attained if you lie flat on your stomach, or on your knees with your head on the mat.

Agree, seems unnecessary and as you note, unprepared to move if needed.

I could get in that position too, if I was dropped from a very tall building.

It's not in Rec Hall. It's in the Lorenzo Wrestling Complex.

I know the LRC is not in the immediate area of the competition gym…but is it elsewhere in an improved section of the original Rec Hall, a contiguous addition, or a separate building?

I believe the wrestling training area was renovated at the same time as the renovation and expansion of the South Rec Hall building.
