That’s a good video. He’s a very likable kid. I also hope he sticks around for awhile.Outstanding and sure looks like he’s having some fun. Hope he stays around for awhile.
Anthony Knox was caught on video chasing his dad into the stamds and throwing punches. NJ has suspended him from states.I've only been a ref at one incident that was even remotely like this. And I was so focused on the wrestlers on the mat, that I was totally unaware that an incident had broken out amongst fans and a coach, until I heard a bunch of shouting and other things and looked up to see a melee. (At this point I can't recall if I stopped a match for PD, or if I called a pin, and the kid that was pinned didn't get up for some time. Either way, I was on the mat checking on the wrestler and trying to decide whether or not to beckon the coach/trainer onto the mat, hence, my lack of awareness at what was happening off of the mat.)

He is the #3 recruit in 2025 and headed to Cornell. Glad he and his dad are not our problem.
Old Man Suriano has entered the chat.If I had read this story without names, I would have been inclined to fill in the blanks with “Ferrari”…
I suspect Cael’s keen observation skills extend to noting parental attitude and behavior!

That's cool. Yeah, Owings was a legit STUD! It wasn't a fluke win. As you pointed out, he had an elite college wrestling career.Great video LL! I had the chance briefly to meet Larry Owings years ago when I was living in the Portland area. He was the head wrestling coach at Oregon City High School at the time. Of course the Gable match is what has assured his wrestling fame. Owings does make the case that he wasn’t chopped liver. He only lost four matches in his four year career at the UDub: one each year I believe.
That year was certainly the high point as he was the national runner up the following two years.
Never read anything about his training but he obviously had great endurance. Believe Gable and Owings met one other time in their careers; a match which Gable won. I don‘t remember the occasion but it might have been the Olympic trials. That's cool. Yeah, Owings was a legit STUD! It wasn't a fluke win. Did you ever read about how he trained? He used to do some insane running in addition to his wrestling regimen that raised my eyebrows. When he said in that video that he thought he had a little more in the tank than Gable, I believe him.
That prediction didn't age too well. Lee's strength was a non-factor for Ono.
So, what was the story here behind the shooting? Robbery?
Knox has filed a court injunction. Proceedings going on right now.
Attorney arguing lack of due process and claiming Knox went into the stands to defend his mother.
Which is hilarious because there's video showing him going into the stands while she's on the arena floor.
Also because NJ doesn't have a "protect my mom" exception to its rule prohibiting athletes from leaving the bench.
Sasso got carjacked outside a Safeway not far from campus. He was talking to some kids and got held up by 2 teens. So, what was the story here behind the shooting? Robbery?
Congrats to Seidel -- the first 200-win wrestler in PA history.
A NJ judge granted a temporary restraining order in Knox's behalf. He will wrestle this weekend at regionals, and will compete at states unless a court makes a full judgment against Knox before then. (Yeah, right, the courts will take that up before states.)
Interestingly, Knox's HS was listed as a defendant -- so the restraining order prohibits them from suspending Knox.
