Transitioned seamlessly from instigating a physical fight to a legal one….now I REALLY don’t like what I see with this family… definitely would not be a fit in The Room!
They were on TV portraying themselves as the victim with their lawyer.

A NJ judge granted a temporary restraining order in Knox's behalf. He will wrestle this weekend at regionals, and will compete at states unless a court makes a full judgment against Knox before then. (Yeah, right, the courts will take that up before states.)

Interestingly, Knox's HS was listed as a defendant -- so the restraining order prohibits them from suspending Knox.

I don't know rules and processes that the NJSIAA uses the way that I know the rules and processes that the PIAA uses. That said, I have a tough time comprehending the ruling by Judge Bartels. The NJSIAA has pretty clear rules for athletes that leave the bench during a fracas, and Knox definitely did that (it's pretty clear on video).

It appears that the NJSIAA has appealed Judge Bartels's ruling.

It appears that the NJSIAA has appealed Judge Bartels's ruling.

The ruling was that there is no team bench per se at a tournament. When Knox was done competing, he was sitting in the stands with his family.

It's a stupid ruling -- so it's OK to run across the gym to join a fight just because you weren't on a precise team bench?

As you read more of the judgment -- not the entire document, only so much you can take -- it becomes easier to understand. Knox's attorney found a sympathetic judge with the spine of a jellyfish. The next few pages, describing how the events unfolded, read like it were written by Knox's attorney. And the line about Knox suffering more material harm than NJSIAA, is a steaming pile of BS.

I hope the first guy out at Districts, the first guy out at Regionals, and every wrestler at Regionals who faced Knox all join the NJSIAA appeal. Those guys can rightly say that the ruling materially harmed them more than Knox, as they did nothing wrong but were denied a shot at States or had their shot imperiled by the judge.

I don’t honestly know whether they instigated it… but sure sounds like they at least escalated it!
Knox Sr clearly instigated the fight. Whatever taunts were made by the opposing fans, nothing physical happened until he crossed the gym and went up the stands to confront them.

They're all lucky nothing more serious happened. Nobody pulled a weapon. Nobody hit them from behind. Etc. It could've been a lot worse.

Seems to me that CS put the appropriate structure in place long before NIL and the portal. That said, he's not been reluctant to use both to supplement/continue what he established.

@Tom McAndrew I have given your post a lot of thought. If I was going to choose anyone it would be any one of the Sports IIIustrated Swim Suit Models for several reasons.

1) If I am tasked to help repopulate the world...
2) After a while, I am going to get horny...
3) See 1 & 2 above.
SI has recently had some models that, well, if that helps you with #2, I'm not judging.
