15 minutes in and ND has controlled possession and seems like we are playing on our heels a little bit. Gotta catch the ND backline creeping up and kick it over their heads IMHO.
Yeah, ACC is cleaning house today:ACC soccer is just a different level of competition. SEC has 5 College Cup (final four) appearances. ACC has over 80. It was a great season.
ACC tournament was tougher than the NCAA tournament up until the College Cup. Stanford will probably beat Arkansas to give them 5 of the last 8. College Cup could easily be 4 ACC teams.Yeah, ACC is cleaning house today:
UNC beat Minnesota
Wake beat Ohio State
Duke is beating Michigan State
ND is beating us
And Stanford didn’t even qualify for the ACC tourney.ACC tournament was tougher than the NCAA tournament up until the College Cup. Stanford will probably beat Arkansas to give them 5 of the last 8. College Cup could easily be 4 ACC teams.
Exactly! What a Godsend this team and their season has been.A big thank you to this team for making this Fall much more bearable for a Bulldog fan. Already looking forward to 2025.
Agree. Can't say I'm a big soccer guy but it's been fun to head down to "the pitch" this year. Thanks as well to the soccer folks on here for running the threads and keeping us novices up to speed on things.Exactly! What a Godsend this team and their season has been.
Yep, the ACC won all of their games yesterday. The only two teams that weren’t in the ACC that won were Penn State (who beat Vandy) and USCw (who beat another Big Ten team Wisconsin).Six of the final eight teams are ACC teams. The conference is stacked this year. Very possible if not probable that the final four will be an all ACC affair.
Records by conference (note games that go to penalty kicks are draws - you advance on PKs, you don't win). #1 ACC - gap - #2 Big 10 - big gap - #3 SEC - big gap - everyone else.Yep, the ACC won all of their games yesterday. So winning the SEC title is pretty much the ceiling for any SEC school? Guess that’s a good year, then.Records by conference (note games that go to penalty kicks are draws - you advance on PKs, you don't win). #1 ACC - gap - #2 Big 10 - big gap - #3 SEC - big gap - everyone else.

Pretty much.So winning the SEC title is pretty much the ceiling for any SEC school? Guess that’s a good year, then.
Yep, especially with the Pac-12 dissolving and two of its best soccer programs going to the ACC. Unless some SEC teams dump some major NIL money into their programs and start getting the SEC on the pro and USWNT radars, this is what’s going to happen just about every year. College soccer doesn’t draw TV and attendance money, so unless some big alumnus is a soccer fan, that won’t happen. So winning the SEC title is pretty much the ceiling for any SEC school?
