Jack Clark transfer to NC State is made official
Jack Clark, who was recently rated the No. 6 small forward prospect in the transfer portal according to On3, has officially completed his transfer to NC State basketball.
Clark announced the decision on Instagram Tuesday morning. He had also contemplated taking a visit to VCU before picking NC State. He becomes the first transfer portal addition for the Wolfpack this offseason.
“I think Jack is really just scratching the surface of what he can become as a basketball player,” Keatts said. “I was really impressed when we started watching tape on him. He’s very versatile. He has great length and he can score the basketball. I think his size and shooting ability is going to make him a tough matchup for opposing defenses.
“Off the court, he’s an incredible young man with high character. I’m excited to welcome him to our program.”v
Clark entered the transfer portal after averaging 11.0 points and 5.4 rebounds per game over three seasons at La Salle. Clark (6-foot-8, 200 pounds) redshirted his second season and will have two years of eligibility remaining. He made an official visit to NC State basketball last weekend.

This past year, Clark, a 6-foot-8, 200-pounder from Cheltenham, Pa., contributed 12.0 points and 5.8 rebounds per contest. He had three games of at least 20 points, including in two of his last three contests. He had a season-high 30 points to go with eight rebounds in a win over Duquesne.
Jack Clark First Of At Least Two Additions
NC State basketball has been searching for multiple additions from the transfer portal this offseason. Clark visited the same weekend that Memphis forward Landers Nolley II took a trip to NC State. Nolley has also been to Texas A&M.
One day after Clark announced he was transferring to NC State, Ole Miss graduate transfer and guard Jarkel Joiner made his commitment public. NC State basketball has at least two more scholarships it can currently use on the 2022-23 roster after the Clark announcement. Three former Pack players have announced they were transferring and former signee Shawn Phillips Jr. received his release from his letter of intent.
Two more NC State players — redshirt sophomore guard Dereon Seabron and freshman guard Terquavion Smith — have submitted their names for the NBA Draft but are maintaining their eligibility.
