On3 has updated its rankings for the class of 2022, and both of the NC State basketball recruiting signees have made the list for the top 150 nationally.

Center Shawn Phillips from Dream City Christian in Glendale, Ariz., checks in at No. 125. The 6-foot-10, 250-pound Phillips chose the Pack in September over offers from Ole Miss and West Virginia.

Phillips is playing this season at Dream City Christian after spending last year at Ypsi Prep in Ypsilanti, Mich., and before that at Belmont High School in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio, where he averaged 15 points and 13 boards as a sophomore.

At No. 147 in the On3 rankings is point guard Liron “LJ” Thomas from Bull City Prep in Carrboro, N.C. Thomas, who checks in at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, had a final six that included an option to play for Overtime Elite in addition to Georgia, Houston, Memphis and Ole Miss before committing to the Wolfpack in October.

Last year, Thomas averaged 18.5 points, 4.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 44 percent from the field for Bull City Prep.

Before that, he played at Camp Jewell House Academy in Conyers, Ga. Thomas started his high school career at Columbia High in Decatur, Ga., where he averaged 18.0 points and 3.2 assists per game and made 42 percent of his threes in 2018-19.

NC State basketball recruiting remains active in the 2022 class. It is set to host On3 Consensus four-star guard Judah Mintz from Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va., on an official visit this week.

The updated On3 rankings has Mintz checking in at No. 79 in the country and as the No. 12 combo guard. He took an official trip to DePaul last week and also has two more lined up, one to Wake Forest and the other to Syracuse. The 6-foot-3, 165-pounder was previously verbally committed to Pittsburgh.
