Lee, Buchanan, and DeSanto are all better than him at freestyle. I’d argue Kennedy and Caliendo too.
Lee and Buchanan probably a good argument. The rest are pretty even if we are going off of chance to make a team aka have a future at the weight. All slim to none.

Even if it were true that Drake decided to leave and “bring 6–8 guys with him” (and I know for a fact that this is a lie), it wouldn’t be nearly as slimy as the things you’ve done to other universities to get wrestlers to Iowa—paying them and then having them underperform.
Stop lowering the IQ on here.

Drake trying to poach Iowa guys after signing with ISU is slimy. Drake trying to poach Iowa guys before going to ISU is scumbag.
Metcalf was proud of the effort and I’m sure gave him a wish list of guys on our roster he wanted. I’m sure he will work on our flipping our best 27/28 recruits also.

Well can probably scratch Cam Howard off the recruiting wishlist
Would be crazy to go to PSU with their logo jams and now Cael can’t plays with the various shirts to try to fit guys in. Guess Taylor will get him, or maybe Bo will talk him into V tech. They seem to have found a big money stream.

Lmao!!! That engagement was completely started by Khaled blasting dogshit music and talking **** to our guys, not our staff. Our contingent kept thier cool and basically laughed him off, while Tom basically told him tif he wanted to come after anyone to come after him. Guy was a giant goofball, spook the whole time in Vegas.
So with this idiot being Howard’s coach and mentor, do you agree Howard is off the table? Or was he ever on the table?

I wouldn't remotely put Willie and Mineo in the same category. I really don't think Willie is looking to smear Iowa. IDK what the facts were behind this, maybe he heard 2nd hand info and interpreted it wrong, maybe he's spot on IDK, but agenda?? I'm not so sure.

The Iowa team camp was in the front entrance hallway. KD and his crew came in and camped close to there. KD had a speaker blaring music. He was politely asked to turn it down....he smiled and turned it up. **** talking ensued.

Can anyone explain this for people who do not know who KD (assuming Kyle Dake) and Kaleed are... and why/ how this event was relevant to Iowa (besides everyone hating us)?

Not Kyle Dake.
Khaleed Dassan, also known as Coach KD, is a prominent wrestling coach based in Yonkers, NY. He is the owner of the KD Training Center. Coached PJ Duke, Jayden James among several others. Known for spoon feeding elite wrestlers to the PSU program so they can claim "development".

Stop lowering the IQ on here.
I’m not sure the IQ in here could drop much lower. You’ve got one of Iowa’s biggest donors on here pushing what’s, at this point, a blatant lie, with absolutely nothing to back it up, and a crowd of middle-aged men who are either too naïve or too willfully ignorant to question a single word of it.

No we have you and your 6 posts pushing blatant lies, because you are here to troll. And like the other trolls, you should be banned if it was possible.

No one is shocked, surprised or even blaming Drake for what happened.

Is it the most moral thing? No.

Is it going to piss off the guy who paid him the past 3 years? Yup.

Come on.. it was posted on an Internet forum. Not exactly the front page of the New York Times.

Willie acknowledged it. It’s not a huge deal.
Acknowledgments of error and apologies are better when they are shared with the audience that heard the "mistakes" initially. Not to a group that probably for the most part already knew the truth. Why do you think **** shows like CNN are so/somewhat/fading/dying popular?

I don’t know how that scenario is applicable to Willie posting his original comment on a private intermat forum, then posting his acknowledgment on a public, much more highly trafficked forum.

But I get your point. I just don’t think it’s a huge deal. Maybe I am wrong.

i didn't acknowledge a mistake. i said i hadn't heard Tom's explanation until now.

i can certainly discuss it on the show if you want.
I don't really care and my initial response was not 100% directed at you. It was mainly about the constant BS that is spread throughout the media under the protection of the 1st amendment. "Sources tell me" is the license to lie. When the correction comes out it is too late and the damage is done.

Interestingly enough, it was shared on a small private forum, and once he learned more about it, he added additional context to that location. So he actually did exactly what you said. He didn't come here and share that info...someone else did when they shouldn't have

Actually I didn’t know that was from a private chat; someone sent that to me and I assumed it was a public source (Intermat forum) since Willie used his Husker Du tag. This is the first I heard it was a private chat. Had I known that I wouldn’t have put it out there; I don’t operate that way. My source doesn't operate that way either, he probably assumed I knew it was a private chat. Chalk this one up to "failure to communicate".

Its your lie "not meant to smear" tell it how you want. You two only have on agenda and that is to stir up a story and credit for it. Henceforth why you post things with only one side of the story. You guys love to throw crap at the wall and see what sticks. Whatever sticks is an I told you so for you guys. If nothing sticks then it was bad info.

1. Re JW: I'm happy to see it, though I know that opinion is not universally shared. I'd like to see him succeed at Iowa.

2. Uh-oh. Another flareup of bad blood, and this time the evil Drake Ayala is to blame? Sorry, not buying it anymore. This level of bad blood isn't normal or healthy, and there's one common denominator.

3. Dresser was a good friend, coach, and cornerman to me. I don't really care if people badmouth him--I get it. But I'm gonna stick my hand up every now and then and defend him here, because he's a good guy.

I realize I'm going 0 for 3 today on capturing the sentiment of the board, lol.
I carry zero weight in these parts and voted Tom should remain (until contract ends) but I’m with Tarp on all points.

The coaches have a better idea what’s taking place “off the mat” and Williams conditioning clearly suffered during the season but the coaches are ultimately responsible. Other than fans on this board, I’ve heard nothing but good things about Dresser. He’s a Hawk and I’ll always be a fan & cheer for Clones when not competing with the Iowa program.
