The Spurs have conceded 2+ goals in seven consecutive EPL matches, their longest such streak since 1988.

Tottenham 0-2 Aston Villa, full-time.

Liverpool having trouble with Brentford so far today. Brentford has scored twice in the 1st half, and had 2 other goals (both from corners, if I recall correctly) waved off for offside. 2-0, Brentford near the end of the 1st half

Liverpool cuts the lead in half @ the 50 min. mark, after making 3 subs at halftime. 2-1, Brentford

Brentford with a goal in the 85th minute to put them up 3-1. Liverpool claimed a foul which set up the open shot, but VAR checked and it's a goal.

This play generated a lot of debate. IMHO, the ref and VAR made the correct call:

Arsenal 0-0 Newcastle United, full-time. Could be worse. (I missed the match.)
Newcastle is a TOUGH out. Good result for Newcastle on the road, but I was tuned into the Cock to watch United win 3-0. Some really pretty soccer, but Bournemouth is just above the relegation zone. We drew level with Newcastle on points with a game in hand, but they have the point differential currently. This month is going to be insane, but Arsenal gave itself a big enough cushion to drop one or two and still be pretty safe.

oops, wrong info
That is for next weekend. FA Cup is this weekend. MU vs. Everton today at 3pm and then all other matches Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with Chelsea and City squaring off for the second time in 4 days on Sunday. There are about 30 other matches total, too many to list.

How about Southampton knocking off City 2-0 today in the Carabo Cup quarterfinals! Southampton, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, and Man U left. Forest took the Wolves out in PK's.

MU vs. NF
Newcastle vs. Southampton.

Fulham beats Chelsea yesterday 2-1. Up to 6th in the table for Fulham while Chelsea is struggling. Joao Felix gets a red card in his debut to boot. It was a bad tackle that he tried to pull back from but it was too late.

Today: Aston Villa - Leeds at 3, USA Network.

I’ll be watching while working on complex analysis, fascinating stuff. For example: the Mean Value Theorem is fundamental in real analysis, but it’s not valid in complex analysis. How to compensate for this lack? Great stuff. Watching Premier League soccer while working on complex analysis, I’m a pig in ****.

Real vs Complex? Isn't that discussed in the Weather thread?

Manchester United 0-0 Manchester City at the half. United looking the better side, although City is controlling possession. Rashford limping badly.

Everton’s Board of Directors will not attend today’s match out of safety concerns. Egad.

Although I'm glad it stood, I don't know how it's deemed that Rashford is not impeding on that first goal. He doesn't have to touch the ball to impede play.

United clearly as much of a threat to Arsenal as City are. The NLD tomorrow and United match next week are going to be phenomenal to watch.
