Hail to Cael!!IT'S OVER! PSU NATIONAL CHAMPION AGAIN!
So do I @Tgar.Tgar has a Walker hiding somewhere in he basement from a knee replacement he can donate to Iowa.
I have 2 boots I'd be more than happy to give up.So do I @Tgar.
Yes. Heard that we will not wrestle since the championship is already won.Rumors on twitter of kerk forfeiting. Anyone hear anything?
That makes no sense. Is he hurt or sick?Yes. Heard that we will not wrestle since the championship is already won.
Just seems very uncompetitor like, which doesn’t fit any college wrestlers. Not sure. I have an Athletic Department contact for a number of years that sent me a message. That is what he told me. If Kerk is hurt or sick, we will really never know since coach Sanderson typically does not discuss injuries.
Well you were right! Not sure. I have an Athletic Department contact for a number of years that sent me a message. That is what he told me. If Kerk is hurt or sick, we will really never know since coach Sanderson typically does not discuss injuries.
I just got a summary notification from gopsuports.com that Kerk was battling an injury during his last match. Their summary talks about Kerk essentially clinching the team title by defeating Parris from Michigan.285 3rd Place Match: Greg Kerkvliet vs. Jordan Wood (Lehigh)
Kerk takes a MF, so he finishes 4th
Very disappointed in this.Well you were right!
During a match last month (can't recall the exact one) Kerk came up limping on his one leg. It looks like he battled through this injury through the entire NCAA championship. Makes reasonable sense not to aggravate the injury for next season.Very disappointed in this.
I think it was late in the Nebraska dual that he clutched at his hamstring.During a match last month (can't recall the exact one) Kerk came up limping on his one leg. It looks like he battled through this injury through the entire NCAA championship. Makes reasonable sense not to aggravate the injury for next season.
Not worth risk of further hurting himself - would have been quite enjoyable to see him destroy another opponent though!Sorry, but who gives a damn if some of you are disappointed with Kerk MFF.
Yes, would have been great to see him wrestle for 3rd, but if he is unable to go, he is unable.
His future is more important than some of you being disappointed because he did not come out for his 3/4 match.
Per above - just disappointed in not seeing him dismantle another opponent!During a match last month (can't recall the exact one) Kerk came up limping on his one leg. It looks like he battled through this injury through the entire NCAA championship. Makes reasonable sense not to aggravate the injury for next season.
I watched quite a few ACC matches this year. I told my wife all season he is NOT the 2nd best 49lb’er.I just noticed that Tariq Wilson is wrestling in the 7th place match. That's got to be a disappointment for him.
Poetic justice -- sort of. First, a mistake vs Cassioppi at the B1G's gives away enough points to cost PSU a league team title; two weeks later his consy victory, apparently fighting thru injury, allows PSU to wrap up the National Title going into the championship round.I just got a summary notification from gopsuports.com that Kerk was battling an injury during his last match.
