a popular misconception, that PSU's admin was a big obstacle here.
I don't think any of them are locks. I admit we should be favored but they will all be tough matches. We could go 5-0 or 0-5 (I don't think so, but it's possible.).
Watching the 184 match between Hidlay and Keck. This is ridiculous. How long are the refs gonna let Hidlay lay back and ride the out of bounds circle, back up and keep bailing him out when he backs into the scoring table. He should have been stalled out by now.
I think Hidlay could be so good if he was more offensive. It's just hard to watch him wrestle they way he does now.
Yes! 2 for Keck. Well deserved. Now the refs call stalling on Keck. What an effing joke. Glad Keck prevailed. He earned it. Had to beat Hidlay and the refs.
Hidlay #2 did not deserve to win that match. Good for the UNI wrestler!

They are on the edge, and then OOB with 1:09 left. Paris on his base, but not much else. Parris to his feet and Kerk pushes him away, 2-1. End. RT @ 33 sec for Kerk

Kerk mentally and physically broke Parris. Very impressive match for the young man.
After the Kerk match, the team score:

Michigan's max score at this point is 112, so the only way Michigan can win is if every one of their wrestlers still active pin in every one of their matches. In essence, the team title race is over.

Regardless Michigan would have to pin out, have Kerk lose, and then go 1-5 in finals.
It'll be clinched before that if the remaining Michigan wrestlers don't ALL pin their opponents. I'll go out on a limb and predict that won't happen.

I don't think kerk will get a chance to clinch. It will be over before then. He did his damage already.
A shout out to both @Tom McAndrew and @GregPickel for your outstanding coverage and analysis during this final session and throughout the 2022 season. I learn a lot from both of you gentleman being a novice with respect to understanding all of the nuances of wrestling.
Kerk should be the favorite entering next year. I think the gable match woke him up even more on how good he can be post injury. The gable match was needed. Kerk will only get stronger and bigger and better. Death line up next year gonna be real fun.
