Good ole Pete had an affair with a 15 year old when he was married to another woman and had 2 kids. When questioned about it, he said “it was 55 years ago, babe”. Good guy. The good ole Phils had him back Sunday, the first time he was on the field since being banished for gambling.I,was flipping through the dial and saw that. Suffice to say Pete Rose has no filter.

Grateful to Pete -- his leadership helped get a very talented Phillies team over the hump after several playoff failures -- but he is a scuzzball as a human beingGood ole Pete had an affair with a 15 year old when he was married to another woman and had 2 kids. Made the trek down today with wifetoday's TV broadcast has been a joy to listen to. It's alumni weekend, and today they brought back a lot of alums and put a special emphasis on the 1980 World Series team. So throughout the broadcast, they've had a number of players from that team telling stories, conversing, etc.
So far they've had (and I'm probably forgetting a few):
- Steve Carlton
- Bob Boone
- Larry Bowa
- Del Unser
- Greg Gross
- Larry Christensen
- Greg Lusinski
- Pete Rose
- Reuben Amaro (was the bat boy that season)
Mike Schmidt tested positive for COVID this morning, so he had to miss the festivities.
And the Phils are up 7-1 in the bottom of the 7th. Nola was probably stunned with all the run support he's gotten.

was fun - good seeing Pete at the game
hot as **lls though - ended up with swamp-a$$
Makes sense - Was going to take FIL with us but figured it would be too much for him.A few weeks ago, I started considering going to the game. I was monitoring the weather forecast for the past week, and decided on Saturday that as much as I would enjoy seeing the former Phils, I just didn't want to sit outside that long in the heat and humidity.
WinningPhillies fans, in your opinion, what is Rob Thomson doing that Girardi did not do? He may get some manager of the year votes.
It’s a culture thing but from a strategy standpoint he uses the bullpen guys perfectly. Plus he let stott and bohm play everydayPhillies fans, in your opinion, what is Rob Thomson doing that Girardi did not do? He may get some manager of the year votes.

Off to a hot start with Angels, Mickey Moniak suffers another tough break
Mickey Moniak is off to a hot start with the Angels but suffered another unfortunate setback late Saturday night when he was hit by a pitch on the middle finger attempting a bunt.www.nbcsports.com

Agree with those referring to Harper in the booth. Love the not so subtle tampering he and his wife are working on with Turner and his wife.
Anyway
Not so good comp. but I think this is turning into a really good team.
Wouldn't it be crazy if the Padres collapse again, as they did last year? The Dodgers certainly sent a message by sweeping them.9-1 over the past 10 boys. Feels good to see them in that second wild card spot. Milwaukee struggled this week, too. I think they went 1-6 or something like that. The Padres will click at some point. This is gonna be a St. Louis, Milwaukee, Philly battle, I think.
Brewers have a 9 game stretch of Rays, Cardinals, Dodgers coming up. Great opportunity to gain 4/5 games on them.9-1 over the past 10 boys. Feels good to see them in that second wild card spot. Here’s my Moniak story - and it’s not a positive oneBummer. I'm pulling for him. I don't want him to go off and have a crazy year next year, obviously. I would be bumped to see that, but I want him to have success. Been pulling for Mickey for years now to put it all together.
WOW. They didn't give him an immediate ticket to the UFC. Shocked.
That was a fairly quick rain delay. Expected longer.Haha. Wrong thread. Go Phillies!!!
Ha, good catch! I didn’t see that.Keith is full of it as he is scheduled to be in St Louis this weekend for a Cardinals reunion. He was a great player but he is full of himself. Gary Cohen and Ron Darling are at least balanced, but they are all drooling over themselves with the Mets this year. Season isn’t over yet.
40th anniversary of the 82 World Series Champs.Ha, good catch! I didn’t see that.
Sounds like an awesome win! On the Celebrity Equinox heading to Cozumel, had to follow on MLB.com. For those who say the Phils are playing no one, they had a brutal schedule the first third of the season.Phillies plate 3 in the bottom of the 8th vs Alcantara and win 4-3. Schwarber with 3 hits. Bottom of order with three straight singles plus Marsh getting doubled up at third on a broken bat liner by Hoskins, but JT Realmuto drives in the winner.
