Does anyone else know why we didn't offer Joey Slackman? I thought we need big DL.

Probably can’t afford one, what with that L.A. mortgage.

Going to the U of Florida was an academic decision. We never had a chance. 😀😃

When are our guys going to jump into the portal? We must have the dumbest players on Earth hanging in for a three figure swag bag from the Peach Bowl when there’s millions to be made.

Clearly, PSU has not lost close to 15 players to the portal-and has not lose anyone who would be expected to get significant playing time in 2024.
We will need to lose 13 more players before August camp starts, and that doesn't include anymore portal transfers in. This number includes graduates, early draft entry( that haven't announced officially yet), and transfer portals out. This also assumes all 25 of our current commits stay with us. Will be interesting to see who goes.

You should refer to those that were honored on senior day for hints.

Given the gigantic swath of bright, super-talented and righteous folks leading collegiate athletics - from the NCAA, to the Conference offices, to the ADs and other administrators, it is just so hard to imagine how things degenerated to the current level of FUBAR. Isn't it?

This thread should be pinned all year and when one gets too upset about wins and loses, come back, view this thread, remind themselves what a FN cluster F college football has become, and ask themselves, why do I care so much given it is now completely business by the schools, coaches, and players.

Do they post what these people are getting paid?

It's not like they pick places to go due to academics or cultural preferences.

The NIL scam will not last long. The Universities will soon have to acknowledge these players as employees, they will likely unionize to assure bargaining power and to fix in place the gains they are achieving.

Tell me again, why is Penn State University running a for profit sports business?

This whole thing reminds me of a younger version of myself sitting at The Men's Club in Dallas (Gentlemen's club early 90s) saying....

"That is the hottest chick I have ever seen"...

(5 min later)... "No that is the hottest chick I have ever seen"...

(5 min later)... "no THAT is the hottest chick I have ever seen"
