Overall a good night, but damn Max and Greg just a bit underwhelming. Looking forward to them making up for it in Tulsa.

The 4 above awards are handed out by the B1G at the end of the B1G Tournament

Like SNV and Alex F. Kerk must get that 1st Takedown. Week and a half to prepare for Nationals. Going to be so intense at Oklahoma. Can’t wait. Hopefully PSU will have the most fan’s.

A shoutout to @GregPickel for all the PBP and info he provided during the B1G Tournament. I missed most of the tournament, but Greg did an excellent job with the PBP!

A salute to @gimb14 for his posts throughout the B1G Tournament.

My thanks to everyone that posted in the B1G Session Threads, and contributed to the conversation.

In less than two weeks, we'll be setting up NCAA Session Threads, and discussing NCAAs. I should be free for almost all of NCAAs, and will provide PBP in everything but the finals, which by tradition, I sit back and watch, and contribute to the Session discussion, but don't do PBP.

Great job, everyone, over the past two days!

Can't wait for NCAAs. I'm off this year. Coworkers think it's for basketball, but recent years I've found myself barely paying attention to that until Sunday.

I blame Greg and Tom for their losses. We were rolling until Greg gave up play by play to Tom. I tried to warn you guys but nooooo.

lol. I did see that post. After all the PBP that Greg contributed in the tournament, I was happy to give him a break. Would the results in the Finals have been different if Greg had continued with PBP? We'll never know. 🙃🙃🙃

I played a lot of baseball in my youth also so I’m a little superstitious. If I was on a hitting streak, the uniform didn’t get washed and I wore the same socks until the streak ended. Probably doesn’t apply here, but I tried. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Honestly, I feel like most years the B1G tournament is tougher than Nationals.

B1G Freshman of the Year is ...

Levi Haines

(the 9th PSU wrestler to win the award)
FWIW, a reminder that Tyler Kasak is following the same blue print as Levi as far as preparation for PSU. He skipped Sr season at Bethlehem Catholic and moved to State College to train with M2 and the NLWC, while entering open tournaments. It worked well for Levi, hopefully, it does for Tyler as well.

Dean clearly was out-wrestled. Opponent tall, athletic.
Hope he can adjust.
Likely everyone Dean wrestles is taller and heavier than he is because, as Jim Gibbons commented, Dean is a 184-wrestling-up at 197 because of the guy PSU has wrestling at 184.

One of Dean's strengths is high intelligence. Not absolutely certain, but I believe this is the first time he's wrestled Allred. If that's true he'll learn from today's experience and, if they should meet again in a couple weeks, it wouldn't be a complete surprise if there were to be a different outcome.

O'Connor just won ACC's for those thinking about Levi's seed, he beat Andonian 6-5 I think.

Kerk will be #2
Agree. Love to see Kerk work on his angles preparing for Nationals. Couple other guys as well. Kerk can beat Parris if he goes outside singles with hard finish. More urgency needed to score that first takedown.
