Interesting. Not who I expected to get permission to seek a trade. I get he wasn’t used right all season but was still really disruptive. And with fangio coming in I thought he’d at least finish his contract out
Or is it because Vic wants to use a 30 front and have him at OLBer and drop more ?
This all makes sense. Perhaps Reddick isn’t wild about being used as a stand up OLB more in Fangio’s system, but I think it comes down to money. He wants and deserves more. Can’t fault him for that.Valid. I think I read fangio prefers 3-4 fronts, and the draft capital/cap space that would come back would be big. I wouldn’t mind a 3rd second round pick and a LBer. Sacks are a sexy commodity and teams will give up a lot for that.
Interesting though, the dolphins were 3rd in the league in sacks this season. Why not stay and parlay that into another massive contract?
As an aside, I’m actually really excited to see Davis in the middle with Carter and sweat on either side of him and Nolan smith coming off the edge. Lots of opportunity there but I think the D as a whole is gonna be under a complete rebuild if they go to a 3-4

Didn’t he sign a 3 yr $45 million contract? $15 mil per yr? Edge rushers get more? Idk id have to see what the Watts and Boza are gettingThis all makes sense. Reddick is Sixth in sacks over the last 3 seasons, but is Eighteenth in pass rusher salary. That’s a clear explanation to me.Didn’t he sign a 3 yr $45 million contract? $15 mil per yr? Edge rushers get more? Idk id have to see what the Watts and Boza are getting

Can we sign a petition?Thank God!
James Bradberry has asked for permission to seek a trade.
Permission granted.
Is this wishful thinking? I’ve been scouring the interwebs and haven’t seen it.Thank God!

Haason Reddick: I never asked for a trade, but understand it's a business
A report over the weekend indicated that the Eagles have given edge rusher Haason Reddick permission to seek a trade and Reddick weighed in on it on Tuesday.www.nbcsports.com
.... the plot thickens.
Sileo made a really good point about all of this. Said Reddick is a bit of a 1-trick pony. Great pass rusher (when he gets home), ok against the run, terrible in coverage. He wants more money, but Sileo said he doesn't see him getting any more money since he's limited is his "well roundedness" (since that's a word). He's not worth $20mm+ a year, which is what Sileo heard he's asking for (Garrett type pay). Sileo thinks the Eagles are letting him check the market, see he's not worth what he thinks he is, then when he comes back giving him an extension with a pay cut. If true, I like it. free up some $$, and with him being 30 in his final year, there's no way they give him a huge contract that would take him through 33-34 years old.
Starts around 42 minutes. Sileo is a bit of a windbag, but he does make some decent points.
Anybody who dropped Reddick into pass coverage was an idiot, he couldnt cover dirt, so I do agree with Dan.
OTOH Dan has done well for someone who couldnt read or write coming out of HS!! I could tell some stories.
does he always cover the Eagles?
Big Don! Though I’d love to hear the other rumor

Report: Dom DiSandro suspension impacted Nick Sirianni during games
At a time when FS1 host Craig Carton has hinted at (but has not disclosed) a potentially salacious "real reason" for the implosion of the Eagles in 2023, long-time Eagles reporter Derrick Gunn has offered something more concrete, and far less juicy.www.nbcsports.com
I’ve shared my thoughts about Sileo before, and he’s been a Sirianni detractor for a while.
I was not aware former PSU LB Brandon Smith was on the Eagles roster last year, after a year in Carolina.
Yeah, I really don't follow the NFL. much...so.....-- definitely not paying attention. It was mentioned several times on this board.
This will help the Birds, and several other teams as well.
