Isn't his style a lot of two deep safeties, soft zones, read & react? That stuff works if Derrick Brooks is your MLB but not with the chumps Howie puts on the field

I know the game has changed but aggressive defenses still work -- Bills and Chiefs both have Jim Johnson proteges calling the shots

What I’m gathering, Fangio’s D is majority predicated upon high level safeties and LBers, the two weakest positions on not only the D but arguably the entire team. Positions that have never been drafted well under the current regime, with no sign of changing any time soon (however Winfield, David and White on TB are free agents in ‘24 as is Patrick queen) but I’m not holding my breath.

HARD pass. Give me riverboat or Leslie Frazier.

Yes well that’s nice but I think Howie is still in charge of the AC or at least the coordinators
And I think he’s in charge of both the 53 and 45 ( I think those numbers are right)
Do you really think Nick wanted R Penny up the last few games over say some more help on D

I'm not going to bother because there is zero chance that you are going to change your mind regarding Howie.

It’s not really about Howie. It’s how the Eagles are structured in general. The HC should have control over the AC’s and the 45. And I don’t think it works that way in Philly. Let the man coach. You ran Doug out by micro managing.

I wonder who the coordinators will work for because it sure doesn’t sound as if it’s Nick

Just this week, Joe DeCamara of Sports Radio 94WIP said, “The main thing that really hit me is that I thought it is very apparent that Lurie and Howie have essentially emasculated Nick Sirianni as the head coach of the team. It was so clearly discussed that the new coordinator is going to come in and call plays.”

IMO….AJ ,Devonta and Goedert will do quite well. Of course they need to either draft well for more talent or have Howie do his thing in the trade market. Remember the Eagles go into draft day with a very nice cushion of $$ under the cap and can have several vets restructure current deals.

I think from what I’ve seen and heard AJ wants to be TO 2.0. There’s a shoe to drop there
