Bill Belichick was and is on Eagles' radar, too
Publicly, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones hasn't ruled out hiring free-agent coach Bill Belichick in the future.

Breaking News : Washington Commanders will name Cowboys Defensive Guru Dan Quinn as next head coach. IMO…..a major blow to the cowboys defense !
ESPECIALLY if he takes Al Harris with him to be his DC. and this is happening relatively late, so who is left to take over the Dallas D? Ron Rivera to Dallas? Leslie Frasier?
there were rumblings, which were more speculation by reporters, as to whether he was returning. I think it was mostly due to both coordinators being replaced, and the realization that that could lead to additional changes on the staff. Plus, neither Sirianni nor Howie were all that forthcoming in their PC about the status of the assistant coaches.
To me this says a lot. Sounds like we dodged a bullet w Kingsberry

#Report : the #Eagles were reportedly very close to hiring Kliff Kingsbury as their OC. The deal fell apart when Kingsbury wanted to bring in a whole new offensive staff.
It is to believed that lurie & Howie we're not ready to move on from Jeff stoutland, so they passed on Kingsbury. Per Adam caplin via inside the birds

I don’t see how that happened. Anderson was good but Carter was more dominant overall. It’s like they rewarded ho-hum production all year over Carter’s sheer brilliance in shorter bursts. The Eagles D drop off likely hurt Carter too.
