149 Quarters: #12 seed Shayne Van Ness vs. #20 seed Graham Rooks (Indiana) (I'll use GR or Rooks for him)

No repeats of period 1 of the R1 match, Shayne, please

Per 1
Rooks with a shot and gets in on a single, Van Ness does a split and has a whizzer, Rooks gets behind and gets the TD, 0-2. Van Ness out quickly, 1-2. Van Ness being aggressive, but nothing. Van Ness controlling the head on the edge, and gets an ankle pick, he pulls GR in, GR grabs an ankle and they scramble, Rooks is in the better position, and Rooks gets the TD, 1-4. OOB with 36 sec left. Ugh. Van Ness to his feet, 2-4. Stall caution on GR on the edge. Van Ness in late on a shot but the buzzer sounds. End. RT @ ?? for Rooks

Per 2
Rooks takes bottom. He's up quickly but returned. He's up again and Van Ness cuts him, 2-5. Rooks shoots and has a single. He's driving in. Van Ness grabs both of Rooks's ankle, they scramble, and after a roll Van Ness loses the ankle and GR gets the TD, 2-7. Van Ness to his feet and gets the esc, 3-7. Rooks is really playing the edge. End. RT @ 25 sec. for Rooks

Per 3
Van Ness takes bottom. He's out quickly, 4-7. Stall call on GR, 5-7. Van Ness in on a shot and tilts him and gets swipes. OOB with 1:24. It's 9-7, Van Ness. Indiana throws a challenge brick, so we're going to video review. Call stands. Warning on Indiana's bench. 1:24 left. GR to his feet, but Van Ness returns him. They are on the edge again. Van Ness controlling on top. Van Ness has an arm trapped. RT goes over 1 min for Van Ness. End. With 1:06 in RT it's a 10-7.

Van Ness scored the last 7 points of the match. He seems to have something in his tank in the 3rd period.

Shayne / Yianni is going to be interesting, to say the very least.

Really needed a Levi finish there at the end of the period. He's going to need to do work here but I think he can.

157 pounds: Levi Haines, PSU vs. Bryce Andonian, VT

First period
Haines shoots first with a head outside single but Andonian catches Haines coming up through and it's a six-point throw before Haines finally rolls through to his stomach. It's not clear how Haines did not get pinned there, but he survives for now. Haines is out to 6-1 with 1:33 left in the first. They wrestle natural with a minute left. Andonian now drops in on a single but Haines fends it off and they break apart. Andonian now drops in again and they circle as Andonian's back was exposed but Andonian rolls through now and was given a takedown near the horn but that was then called off. VT challenge. It's 6-1 as they pick up the phone to check on that. No TD for VT upon review. Andonian up 6-1 after one.

Second period
Haines down first. Haines turns in with 1:40 left and gets a escape. It's 6-2 with 1:29 left. Haines drops in on a single and they circle as Haines tries to come through the legs and he can to 6-4. Andonian is out to 7-4. Haines ducks in on a single picks Andoanian up and takes him down to the mat as he tries to finish the takedown with 26 seconds left and he finally does with 22 seconds left. It's 7-6 as Haines gets the riding time for Andonian back under a minute. He rides out the period, and it's 7-6 Andonian after two. Andonian hit with a stalling caution late in the period.

Third period
Andonian picks down. Haines just cuts him. They start neutral, now 8-6 Andonian. Haines ducks in on another double, picks him up, and throws him to the mat for a takedown and we're tied at eight with 1:39 left. Haines now working on a possible turning combination. He cmes around and has a cradle locked up and he throws Andonian to his back and DECKS him!

Haines winner by fall over Andonian in 6:11
