Probably trying to protect her from European style play . We know from our own experience the Geno does not like Physical play.lol
No, the women’s team won a national championship in all track events. Was it not for some relay event or another?
We will be playing at North Carolina a few days before we play Duke, on 11/30.We will have played ND and Maryland on 11/6 and 11/12 respectively....who else before 12/3 Duke game ?
LSU released their nonconference and it's pretty disappointing especially with the team she's bringing in.
The Dime Store Queen knows what she's doing. You know that she does.SEC OOC vs top 25 teams. Only Teams that have released OOC schedules are listed. Exclude UT and it is 7 teams with 9 games vs top 25 opponents. 5 of those 9 games are dictated by ACC Challenge or in state rivalry.
So 7 teams, 4 games by choice vs top 25.
In contrast, we have 6 games vs Top 25. With only 1 being dictated by the ACC Challenge
#1 UCONN, #5 Utah, #10 ND, #16 Stanford, #17 Maryland, #19 UNC. Plus(net rankings from last season)
Duke #10
SD st #36
ECU #94
BGSU #67
Taters #61
Charleston So. #356 this would still not be the worst team on the LSU schedule.
UGA-0
UF-1 vs #15 FSU Rivalry have to schedule
UK- 2 vs #14 L’ville rivalry vs#21 Colorado
MIZZOU-1 vs #24 Kansas St
Ark-2 vs #15 FSU ACC Challenge mandated game Vs # 4 UCLA
Ole Miss-1 vs #14 L’ville in ACC Challenge
UT-4 vs Indiana #7, Ohio St #6, ND#10 ACC Challenge, and FSU#15
And as always special award forSchedule goes to LSU.
Forced to play Va. Tech in ACC Challenge but it is a home game. The only other game they will not lead by 25 at halftime is neutral site game vs Colorado #21. The rest of schedule is(Net rankings from last season included)
Queens College #345
Mississippi Valley Sate#359(only 361 teams)
Kent state #115
Southeastern Louisiana #168
Texas Southern #339
Niagara #249
UVA #53
Louisiana Lafayette#120
McNesse #309
Northwestern St #326
Coppin St #300
Jacksonville #241
14 game OOC schedule; 10 home games, 3 neutral site games and ONE ROAD GAME @ Coppin State.
Hats off to Mulkey, you have to work really hard to schedule that pile of![]()
She plays a calculated game. Last year it paid off, but please remember at least 3 times she went into the tournament being the favorite and lost before the final four. To teams not nearly as good as Iowa. A big reason was they were not ready for stiffer competition. Try to keep that in mindThe Dime Store Queen knows what she's doing. You know that she does.
But she has four. That's approaching stratospheric. Right now, it's tough because it's recent, and our magnificent team was left standing on the outside when it worked for her. Winning another championship will assuage my angst to some degree. I don't think anything else will release me to move on from it. I know that's an annoyance to some of you, and I understand, but that's where I am.She plays a calculated game. This, they got an extremely lucky in their pathway to the finals. Even as a 3 seed they managed to get an easier set of opponents than #1 overall seed. They literally almost lost 2-3 times in tournament. But luck is a big part of March madness and it went their way.She plays a calculated game. I must disagree, how dare you call that a lackluster schedule!! Putrid, disgusting, an insult to her talent, a disgrace, cowardly! Those are words more in line. This, they got an extremely lucky in their pathway to the finals. Even as a 3 seed they managed to get an easier set of opponents than #1 overall seed. This is another inexcusable nonconference schedule. They are the defending champions, she brings in the #1 recruiting class, plus some highly touted transfers and a huge new audience of fans. Yet she rewards them with the most lackluster schedule. That's a disservice to everyone involved and with the SEC, loaded with talent this season it might not be as easy as it was for them last year.
Does playing a weak schedule to get to the championship level make Dabo the "Dime Store King"?The Dime Store Queen knows what she's doing. You know that she does.
Dabo is dripping in savoir faire compared to the Dime Store Queen.Does playing a weak schedule to get to the championship level make Dabo the "Dime Store King"?
This must be why ClemTech is a no vote for expansion.
Sorry to bring FB into the WBB thread, but I'm seeing similarities in personalities.
Haven't seen any feathers on his clothing (yet) but sideline and locker room antics are similar.Dabo is dripping in savoir faire compared to the Dime Store Queen.

I'm getting worried we may not get a 6'5" post player this recruiting cycle.
Kate Koval
Wellbaum has stated earlier that ND appears to be the favorite. From all indications it appears we really didn’t get a look.I'm curious to know if we were ever in it with her, but I would also assume she would take visits during the month of October so you never know!
Well this is promising! She’s definitely going to be far from home no matter where she chooses!
I’m betting Tac rises again if she remains healthy during & after her season completes .Hoop Gurlz has updated their rankings. Here is who we are still in the running with, but not necessarily favorites. I think I am correct that all these have not formally eliminated us
#1 Sarah Strong she moves to top spot
#2 Joyce Edwards
#3 Jaloni Cambridge
#6 Kennedy Smith , a significant move up
#7 Justice Carlton, down 2 spots
# 8 Jordan Lee
#21MacKenley Randolph down 2 spots
#33 Adhel Tac significant drop I think she was #24
Imari Berry who committed to the taters dropped 7 spots to #13
Kennedy Ume who committed to Stanford over us dropped about 15-20 spots
The dream class would have Edwards, Smith and Tac joining McDaniel
Louisville just missed out on 6'5" Ramiya White from Male HS in Louisville who chose Kentucky..Thanks! You are always on it!
I have garnet colored glasses but I think this is a fair assessment of schools involved. We would be her best landing spot. My only question is, How sold on her is our staff?
UNC signed two post players last cycle, Toomey#4 nationally and Grays a top100 recruit and a top 10 post player. They also have a commitment from Blanca Thomas #26 nationally. Seems an unlikely place for Tac.
Louisville finds itself in an unfamiliar spot. Coming off their worst season in over a decade. They lost their top assistant and recruiter Purcell to MISS ST as head coach. They had 4 transfer out 6 transfer into the program. The two freshman signees, well, 6’5” Imafidon, is a project who is red shirting and is 2-3 years away. Hardy was not a top 100 recruit. Of their top 7 players, 6 are seniors. They will need to bring in 5-6 players from the portal next season. Plenty of playing time for Tac, but a program in flux maybe even disarray after this season. Offense has never been post player oriented. I think it would be a mistake for her to go there.
UGA, Coach Abe is excellent. Play a unique D that would not fully play to Tac’s skills. They have 10 SENIORS on the roster. Again, plenty of PT but an empty roster after this year. Coach Abe might have a stroke if Tac comes here. They were convinced Madisen McDaniel was a done deal for them before she visited us.
Well she does have size, tall and thick. But color UK fans less than impressed. If L’ville was on her, I don’t think they liked their chances on Tac.Louisville just missed out on 6'5" Ramiya White from Male HS in Louisville who chose Kentucky..
Alaina, A’ja, Aliyah, and what the heck let’s go back even further but a little shorter Aleighsa Welch. All I'm going to say, is 6'5 post players whose name start with A seem to do really well here.
It’s a great dream but Edwards, Strong and Carlton all go to different schools. They may have versatility but the best position for all three is the 4.Do we land Joyce Edwards and Sarah Strong? I know Strong is a UCONN lean. Strong could play the PF position with Edwards playing the SF position. Get Tac at the POST and this would be an unbeatable combination. I'm dreaming of this combination...lol
I think at this point we must get Edwards and Tac at a minimum. Add Strong, and this will be one heck of a frontcourt. I'm still holding out for Koval but the more I read, she's Notre Dame's to lose.
So here's my new wish list based on who has not committed
1. PG McDaniel (committed)
2. W Kennedy Smith
3. SF Edwards
4. PF Strong
5 C Tac
I think we have a shot at the 4 that's not committed. If Strong goes to UNCONN, replace her with Carlton from TX.
