She has not announced a final group. L’ville style of play would be a good fit for her. Here is a link to their recruiting and rosterJust saw where Kennedy Smith recently took a visit to Louisville with another player Nessa Cotton (ranked 100). Remind me ... has Smith put out any finalists?
I would think visits really start picking up after this weekend.
I would rather see Edwards at the 5 than the 3. She is dominating low post presence with an AMAZING handle for a 4 or 5. Put her at the 3 and her handle is still good for a 3 but not as impressive and she's an unproven shooter. I just don't see her and Strong on the same team, though.Do we land Joyce Edwards and Sarah Strong? I know Strong is a UCONN lean. Strong could play the PF position with Edwards playing the SF position. Get Tac at the POST and this would be an unbeatable combination. I'm dreaming of this combination...lol
I think at this point we must get Edwards and Tac at a minimum. Add Strong, and this will be one heck of a frontcourt. I'm still holding out for Koval but the more I read, she's Notre Dame's to lose.
So here's my new wish list based on who has not committed
1. PG McDaniel (committed)
2. W Kennedy Smith
3. SF Edwards
4. PF Strong
5 C Tac
I think we have a shot at the 4 that's not committed. If Strong goes to UNCONN, replace her with Carlton from TX.
She has it down to 5 finalists, per ESPN: us, the other USC, UCLA, Louisville, and Duke.Just saw where Kennedy Smith recently took a visit to Louisville with another player Nessa Cotton (ranked 100). Remind me ... has Smith put out any finalists?

I can't verify this because I don't have a Ball Out subscription. But someone on the Tennessee board said back in July that Ball Out said Kennedy is leaning South Carolina with the other USC as her second choice. Since we both are in her top five, I am hopeful that there is truth to this.Looks like she has taken unofficials to other USC and UCLA and the one official to Louisville. Hopefully we get one too!
I know I’m quibbling, and don’t doubt the truth of the list, but I believe that is an ESPN Speculative list not one released by Kennedy Smith. She has it down to 5 finalists, per ESPN: us, the other USC, UCLA, Louisville, and Duke.

WBB recruiting: The stars of the 2023 summer circuit
As the prep season slowly approaches, it's time to look at the best recruits of the summer circuitwww.espn.com
I mean, it states that is her finalist list. Why would ESPN speculate about something like that in definitive terms unless they have some reason to believe this to be true? We've found out about a lot of people's finalist lists with articles like this, too, like last year with Cassandra Prosper and Juju Watkins (and IIRC, Madisen McDaniel this year, too) and they were accurate.I know I’m quibbling, and don’t doubt the truth of the list, but I believe that is an ESPN Speculative list not one released by Kennedy Smith.
Let me repeat myself, I am not saying the list is inaccurate. I AM saying Kennedy Smith has not released a list on X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, or any other social media platform. Nobody is quoting her, just here is a list of schools that are her finalistsI mean, it states that is her finalist list. Looks like we could still be in it with Sarah Strong.
Yeah I find it funny that lots of people think she’s a silent to UConn yet she has visits planned. I highly doubt she would commit then take visits. Also no mention of NC State which I definitely think will get some consideration from her as well. It's funny, a lot of LSU fans seem convinced Strong is going to LSU. A lot of UConn fans seem convinced Strong is going to UConn. Obviously, they both can't be true. But what if both were wrong?
I agree, I'd be very surprised if Strong didn't give NC State a good hard look.Yeah I find it funny that lots of people think she’s a silent to UConn yet she has visits planned. That's the first thing that caught my eye. Wearing her number too.....looks like Brea Beal
I agreeWBB needs it's own Forum. I shouldn't have to scroll thru two froums to find the info that I am interested in . How hard could it be to make that happen ? If it weren't for twitter,Instagram info .I wouldn't be aware of anything.
I agree as well. It would generate ten times more posts than this. I appreciate what we have but need more rather than less.I agree
There is strong interest in WBB with Gamecock fans but it is not as broad as FB or MBB or Baseball. I don’t think we merit a stand alone board, but something does needs to change.WBB needs its own Forum. I shouldn't have to scroll thru two froums to find the info that I am interested in . The Fighting Gamecock Forum where you just posted is free. You just have to register. I don’t care where we rank our teams, win them all and it all works out!I was not aware that any part of GC was free. I would also find dubious the claim that WBB ranks behind MBB and baseball. FB yes ,baseball, maybe ,MBB, I think not .
I am a frequent reader(but not a poster) of the Boneyard and a follower of their Gamecock thread. I am awed by UCONN’s fans passion for the sport of WBB and their pride in the program. There is a thread on the Boneyard (UConn) WBB forum that covers SC WBB as well if not better than this thread or any other on any other site. Quite embarrassing. I strongly disagree that SC WBB does not merit a standalone forum.
Awesome, she has a very aggressive offensive game. We need her to move her feet defend at the 4.Saw Sania Feagin Sunday coming out of the Dodie. She is a lean mean machine. Shortly thereafter had a conversation with Brad Muller and his assessment of Feagin was, “If she plays good defense this season she will be an All American.” Said she was pretty much unstoppable in practice
I watched her against Flora a couple weeks. Amazing to think she was playing for Team USA in the world cup and made the all tournament team and here she is playing high school volleyball in SC and not even the best player on the floor. Players who are outstanding in one sport don't always like to crossover to another sport. Not her. She's a true team player and a humble person.Dawn was at the Camden High volleyball game tonight watching Joyce!
Guarantee you more avenues for expression the more the attention, at least while we are a force. Boneyard is great btw. There is a thread on the Boneyard (UConn) WBB forum that covers SC WBB as well if not better than this thread or any other on any other site. Quite embarrassing. She needs to be watching the WNBA for inspiration. Tons of one-on one D in the W. No zone D . You have to be a scorer and play D in the W. An added asset is the 3 ball. Those ladies put up a ton of 3 pointers and make most of them.. So Sania Play D and get yourself a 3 shot .Saw Sania Feagin Sunday coming out of the Dodie. Well they def. dont pay her to make non conference schedules. She only coaches and then just asks what schools want free money for a beatdown. She only sends to that request to directional technical junior colleges.Mulkey signs 10 year deal for 32M.
My bet is she wears out her welcome before the end of the contract. Going to make for a great decade of SEC WBB.

Sources: LSU, Mulkey agree to record $32M deal
Coach Kim Mulkey, who led LSU to the NCAA title in April, has agreed to terms with the school on a new 10-year contract worth $32 million, sources confirmed to ESPN. The deal will be the richest total contract in women's college basketball history.www.espn.com
Today Auburn joined The Mulkey OOC Parade of Shame. No games vs top 25. One team that made NCAA TOURNAMENT last season. Second best team on their OOC? Clemson in the ACC ChallengeTexas A&M released their OOC Today… the Mulkey copycat disease continues among the SEC WBB coaches. No games against the top 25.
Running count
USC & UT 10 games vs top 25
Ark, LSU, OM, UF, UGA, Mizzou, UK, and Vandy 9 games vs top 25
Actually social media has really changed that somewhat. The coaching staff and media are generally tight lipped about it but social media is where we usually see something. A good example is Sakima Walker, no one knew of our interest of her or her interest in us until one of the other players posted it.You won't know till they sign (if they do ). Then you will read where she signed and visited in September . Dawn seems to recruit in secret or has asked the media to not report her activities. This is so unlike FB where you read of visits planned weeks in advance
