5 bucks and we got the scoop on McDaniel and Imari Berry. We have to keep that website in mind.

I saw this tweet earlier, but didn't post it. Not a big fan of someone stealing a kid's moment.

I only bring it up because they posted this tweet about Joyce Edwards. I have no idea how accurate it is.

I really think that whoever this is us just reading message boards like the rest of us. Someone on the big spur posted those 4 schools the other day as Joyce’s finalists. Or maybe that poster and this Twitter handle are the same 🤷‍♀️. The poster said Camden sources say those are her finalists.

Joyce announced her finalist?

Well, she responded and they deleted their tweet.

LSU would have been a surprising finalists. I know academics are important to her and that is not LSU's strength.

Question?

Of the frequent posters on this thread, who is not a member of The insiders board?

The reason I ask is, would the whole site be better served by asking the mods to move this thread(with all its posts) to The Insiders Board? It would give this thread a wider audience and more conversation.

It’s just an idea, I would love to hear your thoughts.

I'm not. This is the only reason I'm on the board. Maybe I'm being selfish but often a wider audience in WBB is not necessarily better. It brings in more of the "who's cares", or "go make me a sandwich" crowd. I think the group here is one of the better ones. JMO

I am but think the more people in the know as well as more people that care about wbb are on this side!
On Randolph … looks like we have a real shot at pulling one from the west coast seeing that all her finalists are on the east side of the US!

I can access the Insiders Board. I would not move it. WBB does need more rather than less exposure.

Duke has been added the schedule for a Dec 3rd game at Duke

They went 26-6 last season but had a tumultuous offseason losing 4 to graduation and 4 to the portal and some assistant coach left to go somewhere, just don’t remember. They return 5 players 2 of which are starters. The penciled in starter, reserve Vanessa DeJesus, tore her ACL.

They brought in 2 from the portal; 6-5 post, Camilla Emsbo, who was 1st team All Ivy and PG Taina Mair who started at PG for BC and averaged 11ppg. They had a strong recruiting class topped by #3 recruit Jadyn Donovan along with3 others ranked in the top 65.

Should be a good matchup but I think we are a decidedly better team

with Duke now being added to the likes of Notre Dame, Stanford, Maryland, UConn, UNC, etc., DS has definitely put together a very challenging and competitive schedule for 23/24. I admire the confidence in her squad to compete during what many consider a transitionary season. as we've seen, some other coaches have taken another track.

Get your popcorn ready.

I am a member of the Insiders Forum, but enjoy coming here to read about WBB. I like to follow the WBB and you folks have the best knowledge and insight. Don't change a winning game plan, I have always heard.

For example, I thought our 2024 recruiting class was going to become a predominantly portal class even if we could get Edwards. No way I would expect two California girls to come across country until I read on this form that Michgan State was the farthest west school of her choices. Hope my geography on that is right, but you know what I mean.

I think Dawn(at least I do ) is looking to March Madness and not so much being the "hunted " this year. We will take some lumps with the schedule but as we know going undefeated in regular season does not guarantee a NC.Being the best team in March and April does .

This schedule already matches the difficulty of the national championship season and we still have 2 games to announce. Dawn swore she would never do that again, and yet here we are.

I don’t think DS has scheduled this hard to toughen up this team and be happy with a few losses. I think she has scheduled this hard because she believes this is a national championship team. Dawn loves and believes in this team. I love this team.

We are better offensively at 3 positions. Cardoso and PaoPao are gonna be pretty damn close to Boston and Cooke though in different ways. I also think bench scoring will match last year’s. My questions are, can we match the defense of the last two years? We can’t, the last two years may have been the best 2 combined statistical years in the history of college WBB. But how close can we get? The other question is can we continue to be as dominant on the boards especially the offensive boards?

I do believe in the talent assembled on the team from top to bottom. my main concern/worry for this year’s team is having a somewhat shorter & less experienced bench than the last few years playing such a tough schedule. besides the Raven ACL, we have been blessed with avoiding the serious injury bug. I just hope we continue to avoid any lengthy injury stints for our players as those can derail a season if a team has over scheduled. If so, I think they will do fine and with the younger players (MF, Tessa, Kitts, & Jah) gaining very valuable playing experience for future seasons

Michigan State is her dad's alma mater. I don't think I've ever seen a Spartan game on tv, though. So not much of a presence in WBB.

About rebounding: Saxton was a weak defensive rebounder. Her offensive rebounding was better. She actually had more offensive rebounds than defensive rebounds (Not sure if I've ever seen that before. The greatest offensive rebounder of all time, Moses Malone, still finished with more defensive rebounds than offensive.) Last season, her rebounding really fell off. She averaged 16 minutes per game and 3 rebounds. No doubt we will see improved rebounding from the 4 spot this coming season.

Now, in Saxton's defense, she was very good at defending stretch 4's. It's yet to be seen how well Feagin would do at guarding smaller players. However, I think she will better than Saxton at posting them up on the offensive end. Hopefully, with improved outside shooting, she'll have room to operate down low.

With feagin playing at the four and with her shooting the threes will stretch the defense and will help Cardoso score in the paint. If our opponents try to double Cardoso she will pass to open player.

We need a forum for WBB of it's own. BTW ,look at the top of this site..FB, FBR, BB, BBR,I have to go to a drop down menu to access WBB. If no newsthere then i waste time sifting thru the insiders and GAMECOCK forums. The last time I checked WBB was the program bringing in all the hardware. To reduce them to a "drop down " menu is classless imho.

We're a national championship trophy short; probably two.

Women's track. Bass fishing. At one time I thought they won a bowling one.
Yes, bowling was a club sport that they won it all. I guess bass fishing was also a club sport. I do remember the women’s track; I think it was for outdoor track.

Just stirring the pot for fun.

So two weeks ago UCONN says Paige Bueckers is 100% ready to go, cleared for all activities; drills, practice, scrimmages and games.
A week later UCONN announces Bueckers will travel with the team on their Eastern European trip but not play in any of the games.
Cautious?
Overly Cautious?
Paranoid over possible injury?
Just really not ready to play yet?
