I feel like he is going to retire out of frustration sooner rather than later. He just doesn’t appear to be willing to adapt.
Great point, but does he have to adapt to speak his truth? I say, good for Geno!!! I hope he coaches for a long time and does not wilt...

This is quite silly. Lauren Park Lane is a 4 year grad transfer who earned her right to play at a power 5. He's a hypocrite considering that he takes transfers from other schools too, see Dorka Juhaz and Lou Lopez who both used their COVID year to come to UConn for the same thing. He's classless and im not surprised.

I don’t know if any of you all noticed this during the women’s game vs uk….. the halftime show was Alyssa Lang and Steffi Sorensen from Charlotte. Now mind you, Steffi Sorensen was one of the announcers at the Coliseum during our game. I had to rewind it because I thought I was losing my mind. Then it hit me. They did not mention our game or show any highlights during their segment from Charlotte. They only recapped the games from the day before. So evidently Steffi filmed that earlier in the day, and then drove down to Columbia from Charlotte.
That was from an earlier broadcast I think on Sunday at the halftime of one of the games on Sunday. Weak.

TCU had to forfeit tonight against Kansas State. 2nd game in a row. Sketchy.

To clarify: they forfeited tonight against K State and this Saturday against Iowa State. Massey only gave them a 30% and 16% chance of winning those games. Seems convenient to not play those two. (Forfeits count in conference standings, but not overall record. 🤔)

They had a few injuries. Sedona Prince is still out and Jaden Owens just tore her ACL. I genuinely think they lack the players to play right now.

*Excuse the former typo.

Aside from his overall arrogance ("We have pretty strong relationships with our best players." What about the others? "The average coach out there who's not where I am ...." Let someone else toot your horn.), he makes a good point. However, his example of the Seton Hall player, who he said left because of NIL and did not mention her grad transfer status, has nothing to do with his point that NIL makes it hard for some teams, and that college sports have become "transactional."

I don’t like that Geno is allowed to pi$$ on players and other programs especially when he gets all his facts wrong. His critique might carry more weight if not for The fact that he has brought in three transfer players that got Nil deals at Uconn and were stars at their previous schools. You can’t be pious when your hands are muddy

In other words, take a look in the mirror Geno.

Geno has earned the right to speak his mind, just like one of the posters recently on this site said Dawn has earned the right to say what she says. She tried to throw shade at Catlin about her game winning shot. So please. Stop being hypocrites' folks.

Daniel Connolly on X: "Geno called Caitlin Clark over to talk with her after the game https://t.co/rFaOo3Q09d" / X (twitter.com)

Geno goes out of his way to praise. He praised Catlin as a freshman!! He knew she was headed for greatness which is why he sought her out!!!

I think that many older coaches of revenue-producing sports will elect not to continue putting up with the deleterious changes that have impacted college athletics.

The ESPN Mock Draft for women's basketball is out and I love the TOP 5:

#1 Catlin Clark...Indiana Fever
"Iowa is selling out home and away games; tickets are going for big bucks on the secondary market; and the cereal named after Clark sold out almost immediately in Iowa grocery stores. (Now it's being sold on eBay.) Analyst Debbie Antonelli refers to the Iowa star's impact as "Clarkonomics," and the Fever would love to be part of it. Clark is averaging 31.0 points, 7.2 rebounds and 7.7 assists."

#2 Cameron Brink...LA Fever (imo, this girl could be a model, best looking girl in the draft)
#3 Paige Bueckers...Phoenix Mercury (ESPN thinks she stays at UCONN) HUM????
#4 Kamilla Cardosa...Seattle Storm..
"The Storm are trying to retool around star guard Jewell Loyd. Seattle's biggest need, admittedly, is point guard, although that might be addressed in free agency. Even if it isn't, Cardoso's size, strength, defensive prowess and potential make her hard to pass up. She's averaging 13.1 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2.9 blocks for the undefeated No. 1 Gamecocks. GO KAMILLA, make us proud!!!!

#5 Rickea Jackson...Dallas Wings Interesting, what do y'all think of this?

I personally like Edwards from UCONN as the #5 pick....I think Rickea has been hot/cold for UT...

Lastly, has anyone seen Catlin's Cereal. I would love to order a box but I want an autograph to go with it so if Carolina and Iowa play again, I might show up with my box of Cereal and hope to get an autograph

Way to go Vandy!!! I hope they finish #2 behind us!!! Yippee....Carolina, Vandy, UT, and hopefully ETSU will all make the tournament. I know I will be pulling for the other Tennessee teams to get in as well!!!

One of my business partner's granddaughter plays for Furman, but it may be a long shot for Furman. Go Kate Johnson, make grandpa proud!!!!!

Dawn was speaking about another play within the game that Clark hit the game winning shot. Do your homework. In studio commentators even alluded to the play or call that Dawn referenced. Also during Clark's freshmen year when Beuckers won NPOY, it was Dawn that stated that ESPN should take stock of what Clark was doing at IOWA

Caitlin Clark is a 3x Dawn Staley award winner. She was one of the first people to highlight Clark when all the media outlets were obsessed with Paige her freshman year. She didn't throw shade to Clark, she actually complimented her, but she criticized the officials on an obviously missed call that was huge in a tied game.

This play was considered a shooting foul that led to 3 free throws, inexcusable officiating

that one is too busy eating Caitlin cereal and posting fallacious and derogatory material about CDS and the SC women's program on other team's fan-boards to do actual homework

not expecting it or getting my hopes up, but would LOVE to have her come back for another year
Didn't they say on the last broadcast her family moved here? That's a big move for one season. She may have played herself into a late 1st rounder, but NIL money might be worth staying in school. If you want to start a collection, I'll contribute. 😁

Catlin like Te-Hina has another year she can stay at IOWA. She will be the #1 draft pick if she leaves. I'm guessing she will make as much money by staying at IOWA as she will in the WNBA. She could use the extra year and do a final tour so to speak. I would agree to stay if I am guaranteed part of the gate receipts. That girl can't get out of her way for making $$$, making people happy, and doing the right thing. There will never be another one like her EVER. To that end, I hope she stays at IOWA another year!!

I hope Te-Hina and Kamilla both stay another year!!! To the Catlin haters,, she is the biggest name in basketball right now....Maybe the top 2 names in the basketball world are Jordan and Clark!!

She's got that big deal with Gatorade. She has other deals. She ain't gonna be hurting if she stays.
