also read that the Vols are trying to add the Pitt transfer, Liatu King. Another new coach looking for a short-term fix by adding players w/ one year of eligibility to a roster with very few underclassmen. The Tennessee athletic brass must’ve made it clear that time would not be given for a rebuild from the ground up
I saw some tennessee fans online excited about the possibility they will transfer to UT and play along with Jewel Spear next season.
Have they looked at their scholarship chart lately? They need young players, not seniors. They will have to start over in 25-26.
Everyone is completely caught up in short-term success, even first-year coaches who should have some leeway to build properly. Next year, the portal will not be as active as this is the last year of COVID seniors. Good luck trying to construct a roster.

Totally agree. whether we add a player from the portal this yr. or not, with our current roster, next year will be another grand year for SC (potential for final 4, etc)….but looking ahead to 25-26 and the roster we’ll have then - AW/Chloe & Raven -(if she takes her RS year-I saw some tennessee fans online excited about the possibility they will transfer to UT and play along with Jewel Spear next season.

) as seniors, MF/Tessa as juniors, Joyce/Tac as sophomores, we’ll be truly stacked with talent & experience & looking at potentially another undefeated championship type season (IMO)

It is fun seeing the comments on here about other teams addressing their roster issues through the portal and we can just sit back. We do not have to do anything, but if something top-notch dropped in our lap we might consider in. Nice position to be in.
I absolutely agree! Compared to the soap operas going at some other places, our lives seem to be almost boring!
Then again, to me it almost feels a bit too earlier to be giddy about the future potential of our players for the next 2, 3 and even 4 years to come. This tweeter is 100% correct:
