Guess this shows there is a ME in TEAM!

Sorry, you don’t do this to your teammates right now.

Isn’t this when Happy Valley Horse-a$$ NIL collective steps up and gives Beau a pile of cash money?

Beau basically said in his post that he has do to what is best for him. In my opinion, it's hard to be upset with him for doing what is best for him. He is thinking long term with the possibility of playing in the NFL, which can be life changing. It's unfortunate that his leaving could have such an impact on our chances to win the CFP. Hopefully this means what so many of us are assuming it means, that Allar is coming back next year. Additionally, let's just hope that Allar stays healthy; if so, maybe we won't even notice that Beau isn't on the sideline.

I was watching the Broncos/Colts game today and saw the Colts try to run the double pass but the Broncos "intercepted" the lateral (pass) back to the quarterback. I immediately thought "I hope that doesn't happen to us if we run that play on Saturday. I guess we don't have to worry about that happening now!

The system is broken. They’re building the plane while flying it. I really liked Pribula. Played hard and seemed to be a great teammate. Will be SOL if Allar goes down in one of these games.
I don't understand the thought that the system is broken. I thought the whole point of NIL and the transfer portal was for athletes to get what they have coming to them. To me this shows that the system is working. It just sucks that it's happening to us.

From Kevin Horne who’s on The Obligatory PSU Podcast:

He's a good player who will have lots of options...the portal stays open for PSU for a week after the playoff run. What's stopping him from committing to a school now (even behind the scenes) and leaving the day after the national championship. If it's a program rule, **** that.

The portal timing. The number of times players can transfer. They set all this up with no real plans. Kind of like my experience in teaching and dealing with mandates with no plans on how to enact them.

It’s the timing, transferring before the season is over. Open the portal after the last game

Folks, remember to give to Happy Valley Untied early, often, and in large sums so we can recruit and retain top talent.

I think the timing was all about players transferring for the spring semester, which is inconsistent with the playoffs. I think the feeling for the normal bowl games all kinds of players will be opting out and/or portal before games.

I cannot see Drew coming back, which leaves a pretty thin room in 2025.

I sure hope the coaching staff was made aware prior to the practices this past week. This will have a definite impact on our game plan. Especially on certain 3rd down situations.

.....but that's the issue. Beau wasn't always on the sideline. I would guess he played about 10 snaps a game. Especially on 3rd and 4th down situations.

Can’t really blame the guy, I guess. It’s amazing that the NCAA didn’t see this possibility and align their playoff schedule with their portal timetable.

Yes, people shouldn’t call him selfish when he’s doing what’s best for him….oh wait, never mind.

It’s hard. So close to being the guy at a major college and yet no guarantee that you will be when the current guy leaves. Sucks but that’s why you have to constantly recruit the position and have portal guys ready to come in. They all want to be three and out players.

I laughed at what you wrote. Beau was a good HS QB and serviceable at PSU. There's no way he's NFL caliber.
Have you seen some of the slop some of these NFL teams roll out as their backup QB? I think Beau has a shot with a good season two under his belt in college.

Well SMU doesn’t have to worry about the #9 offensive package. Give them more time to prepare for #15 only.

No...Warren is typically on the field when Beau is, and has his own role to play. Do you think Franklin just has to scrub the whole Beau package?
I was joking. Yea, the Beau package is gone. At times it felt forced anyway.

I assume this means Allar is coming back, although not a guarantee. Otherwise, Pribula would be in the driver’s seat to lead the offense next year and this doesn’t make any sense. I’m pretty sure Coach K has worked with mobile QBs a lot in the past and would tailor an offense around Beau. It just doesn’t make sense unless Allar is back and Beau would be sitting another season behind him.

It also may give Coach K incentive and time to come up with something no one has seen yet. He's kind of creative like that.
