You guys better learn how new recruiting works. Those extra 20 spots that used to be walkons are the collective spots now. They're a walk on who gets to try to earn a roster spot basically. So who cares if we take him? Let the kid get his edit and come to spring ball and see what he can do.

If we don't fire Hutzler - it's giving up on the 2025 season to me. And then does Lebby survive 2025 if we have another 2-10 season.
I think we’ve given up on 2025. We should win 3-4 games next year. Lebby won’t survive unless we go cheap. We will go cheap & 2026 won’t be much better. Then we’ll do what we should have done this year.

Because other schools will bring in 20 more players on scholarship who used to go to schools like State. And we’re poaching lower tier G5 schools to fill out our roster. What could go wrong?

Hutzler isn't going anywhere this year. It's simple economics. Our schedule isn't any easier next year than it was this year. We're looking at 3 (possibly 4) wins max next year. More economical to role with him one more year, than overpay for another DC next year plus still have to pay Hutzler. Schedule eases up some in 2026. They'll can him after next year and pay him his last two years of guaranteed salary (his contract is the most asinine thing I've seen us do in a while). It sucks, but that's how it'll go down.

I think so too. We're not getting to 6-6 next year no matter how many coaches we fire and how much money we throw at recruits. Then we'll see what happens. Not sure how much the schedule eases up in 2026 though. It won't be a simple flip of the 1-7 rotation the SEC has put out. Non conference looks to be at Minnesota and Troy (both confirmed) and UL Monroe & Tennessee Tech (unconfirmed).

I think we are all over reacting. Nobody is getting fired. Recruiting will be better this time around. They were late getting started last year thanks to our DC coaching in the post season. No we probly won't win much next year but we will look much better. Year 3 might be a decent year again finally. We have to survive another year of suffering added to the last 2. Maybe 2 more years. It is what it is.

The portal isn’t open yet. Why can all understand this. Taking JuCOs isn’t all we are going to take. We have the dumbest most uninformed fans that post on this message board

In it's simplest term, this year is what last year was supposed to be. Last year was a 100% waste that got nothing accomplished for the future.

We are Mickey Mouse U when it comes to football. But I seriously doubt there will be any major staff changes and next year will look a whole lot like this year. State has dug themselves into an incredibly deep hole with no escape tunnel.

Curious about your username. Did you graduate in 77' or were you born in 77' ? Or were you a fat with #77 that played o-line at some point?

I am not going through another 8-year misery like in the 2000's. If no changes are made, I am done. I think every booster, season ticket holder and NIL contributors should all rebel against the AD and demand changed or we will close the checking account. Get enough threating not to contribute or buy season tickets Selmon will have to act.

This is why SPS exists. To vent our collective MSU letdown frustrations.

Yeah, I can't believe anyone would overreact to being told the next season is also going to suck we haven't even finished the current sucky season.**

Other schools are doing the same things, taking projects and marginal guys for those spots. The better players are finding guaranteed roster spots. We don't even have an 85 man group right now either. You can prepare to see us try to flip every spot we think needs it. Going to see 30-50 players moving around with the roster. That's how you 17ing improve things. You cut the weaker guys for better guys and if a guy comes in this spring and can't cut it, he hits the portal.
