Are the Franklin haters aware Penn State had a better regular season than Ohio State or MeCheatAgain?

Thrust the program into a cheating scandal of epic proportions. The HC and several assistants had to leave to escape show cause rulings. 1 assistant fired outright and the ring leader banished. The program, already on probation, is responding to a NOA at this moment. The current coach once sanctioned, will likely face suspension, with additional sanctions for the program when the NCAA rules.
I'll take the type of program Joe built and James continued everyday of the week and twice every Saturday.
I think you are greatly overstating the eventual impact to the Michigan program. The NCAA will kick this around for another year or two and eventually release a sternly worded letter with perhaps a meaningless fine. That’s about it.

I do agree that James Franklin is running this program in a manner that would make Joe proud.

Yeah, I don't think that is the case with the NOA, but we shall see.

With a different coach.
Listen, the dud from Delaware takes the field and a MNC only approach because he dug himself into that corner. To be honest after the last few years of success they only thing they have left is any loss they can hang their hat on or a MNC. People want to pretend PSU is in some rough spot with JF currently, they can...but it's really just pretend or people afraid to admit that they were off. Saying MNC or bust means your coach has already set a high bar, but that doesn't enter into his head. He's a one trick pony...go Blue Hens.

It would feel better if, you know, Franklin weren't a combined 0-1 this year against those 2 teams (and a combined 0-7 against those 2 teams over the last 4 years).

Well, yeah. Prometheus probably would feel better if an eagle wasn’t gnawing at his liver every damn day.

Cheated. Right up your alley. Football is pretty simple when you know what's coming. Just knowing run or pass is a game changer.

The gods surrounding Zeus were real dicks. Just let the men fight already. “Damn, we’re getting pushed back. Apollo must be helping the Trojans, that dick.”

Helen and Paris.

Right - sorry. But Cassandra was a spoil of war for Agamemnon and she eventually plotted to kill him (and did). Paris abducted Helen and didn’t his brother, Hector, die in a dual with Achilles?

Cassandra was the daughter of King Piram of Troy and the sister of Hector and Paris. Yes, Agamemnon took Cassandra home with him when Troy was defeated. Clytemnestra (Helen’s half-sister, their mother was Leda) was Agamemnon’s wife and she was screwing Aegisthus while Agamemnon was away fighting in Troy. Aegisthus and Clytemnestra kill Agamemnon and Cassandra.

Yes, Achilles kills Hector outside the walls of Troy, a very gory scene in The Iliad.

You clearly see this derailing onto an immature track. Please stop trying to bring educated, civilized discourse back. Give the people what they want.

I thought Agamemnon's wife stabbed him to death in the bath tub....the very night he returned from the wars.....*****!
She was driven by the god's because Agamemnon had the temerity to step on a purple carpet laid out for him by the town folk to celebrate his awesomeness. Note to all you don't fn ever step on purple carpets.

I don't think we have many JF haters. There are plenty who fairly criticize Franklin's record against top opponents like OSU & UM. I'm not sure that makes them haters.

Expect more critcism if we lose to Oregon or in the 1st round playoff game. Fans expect to win a few of those games.
This pretty much sums it up. I’ve posted many times that I appreciate Franklin as an ambassador and as a role model for young men. He has a lot of the big picture perspective that kids should emulate.

All that said, his game-day coaching (both subjectivity and objectively) can be subpar, especially in big moments. Also, his teams often play to the level of their competition, which speaks to his preparation methods. He’s been better down the stretch - closing out the Minny game comes to mind, but none of that changes a pretty extensive book we have on him at this point.

Bottom line, the kids seem to enjoy playing for him, and I suppose theirs are the most important opinions.

For better or worse....PSU under CJF has evolved to nearly same situation as tOSU.....for the only games that truly matter are against tOSU and UM....all the rest are expected to be wins....and only a loss moves the needle.
Possibly with expansion the Oregon and USC games may evolve into the same category with tOSU and UM.

It never was but it still isn't.

bro losing to OSU meant no final 4 and no big ten championship game. In what world is it never was? Only in the go state beat blue hens world where going to the blue hens weekend costs $2500 to proudly watch our boys win 50-0
