Georgia over Tennessee
Kansas State over Arizona State
No, Tennessee over Georgia.

Georgia is going to be behind Ole Miss in line anyway, so they might as well fall off. Tennessee is currently in front of Ole Miss in line, but who knows what happens if they lose.

No they won’t. Ole Miss has the worse losses.

While there have been some instances of inconsistency from the selection committee, usually if there are two teams at 10-2, the one with the head-to-head win gets the nod over the other, especially if the game wasn't close.

If Georgia and Ole Miss both finish 10-2, there's about a 90% chance that Ole Miss will be ranked ahead of Georgia. And that drops Tennessee to 10-2 at best, and Tennessee would probably be behind both of them. In that scenario, Ole Miss is probably playoff bound.

However, if Tennessee is 11-1, Ole Miss 10-2, and Georgia 9-3, we at least know that Ole Miss is behind Tennessee, and if the committee takes Texas, Texas A&M, and Alabama, then Ole Miss is probably out.

I’m not sure Georgia and Tennessee matters.

A Tennessee win should get them a spot in the SEC Championship game unless they crap the bed vs Vandy. I don’t think anybody wants some weird scenario where there are 4-5 2 loss SEC teams and Ole Miss gets in with some weird technicality.

On the other hand, a Georgia win gets them a quality win and probably pushes them ahead of a bye week on the bubble Ole Miss.

The biggest thing working against Ole Miss right now is that there are no more opportunities for them to have quality wins. They have two more games: Florida and Mississippi State, who have a combined conference record of 2-10 and combined overall record of 6-13.

As long as they don’t make the SEC Championship, their destiny is kind of out of their hands, so I’d lean Tennessee, but I don’t think it matters.

Let me put it this way - it's very likely that Ole Miss makes the playoffs at 10-2. The best chance of them not making it is for us to beat them in the Egg Bowl. Otherwise, it would take a weird logjam at the top, things like Texas A&M beating Texas to finish 10-2, and both 10-2 Texas schools finishing ahead of Ole Miss in the rankings (which probably would happen).

But just in case, it's better for Tennessee to definitely stay in front of Ole Miss and Georgia to definitely stay behind them, than it is for Tennessee to definitely fall below them while Georgia probably stays below them too.

That’s silly. Precedent has been set for years in all college sports. Georgia is not going to get passed by Ole Miss. Just like Alabama was not going to get passed by Texas last year.

GA win definitely pushes them past Mississippi, no matter what head to head says. Question is would TN fall behind them or not.

As for Mississippi making the SEC championship, it’s going to be hard to win a multi team tiebreaker with their strength of schedule.

There is only one scenario for ole miss to make the SEC championship and it would take an insane amount of things to happen. Kind of like dr strange finding the one way to beat thanos. I think one of those things is us beating Missouri.

That being said, I think if they beat us (they will) they are probably in the playoff.

Wish List is SEC CHAOS which is 5 or more SEC Teams having 2 losses or less entering SECCG. If more than more 4 or more of Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and A & M are 10-2 or better., Ole Miss will be left out. Ole Miss resume' just does not stack up against any of these other SEC teams despite a home win against Georgia. I don't even consider Missouri in the equation.

Texas at 10-2 might actually have the weakest resume' of SEC group.

The SEC is not getting more than 4 in the CFP unless a team in the Big Ten or Notre Dame has a horrible loss (I am looking at you right now Ohio State) because the Big 10 should get 4 (Ohio State, Oregon, Indiana, & Penn State) plus one each from ACC, Big 12, G5, & Notre Dame which leaves 4 for the SEC.

Based on my thoughts above, we should be pulling for Texas & Georgia today plus everyone playing out of conference & unfortunately we need Notre Dame to win out.

Georgia has probably played the toughest schedule in the SEC. That makes a big difference when it comes down to make a selections.

Agreed. UGA win over Tennessee….they’d have wins over Texas, Tennessee, and Clemson. All three of those will be either CFP teams, or in the discussion until the very end.

OM’s H2H win over UGA, while significant, will not trump 3 quality wins by UGA when its their only notable victory. I do think they both get in though, and its not an either / or scenario.

Which is the perfect scenario for Ole Miss. Two wins, and the Rebels are in.

It won't matter after the Battle for the Golden Egg. Lebby has been holding back and playing vanilla all year. He has a whole can of whoop a$$ hidden under the bleachers that he is gonna open in a couple of Fridays. Sand bagging all season just for Lane

Georgia over Tennessee

Not guaranteed, but it is possible 10-2 Georgia AND 10-2 Tennessee finish ahead of 10-2 Ole Miss.

Missouri over South Carolina

There probably isn’t a path for Missouri, but at least give Ole Miss’s second best win another loss. Ole Miss needs South Carolina ranked at the end of the season.

Yes, I'm sure that's the case.
