Jimmy screwed up with the " in Albuquerque you need a bail bondsman , in Nebraska you don't " raised eyebrows on Marion. Thought he was going to strangle Marion , at least tie her up, but the son has a record in NM and has to rat out Saul.

Kim never changed her name too easy to follow, and her loneliness, along with the suburban lifestyle festered guilt over the years .

Saul got cocky with the mall heists which made him more greedy and seemingly invincible. The cab was there, but i thought for a second he wanted to make it look like a smash and grab, he had the getaway but blew it.

Both Jimmy and Kim need each other in a twisted way, and slowly dissolve without one another.

Great observation with making the robbery look like a simple break in. I was wondering why Saul kept grabbing things, and didn't connect he was trying to distract and misdirect the broken window. Sure, the watches and stuff had value, but not that much, and he needed to get out of there.

Holy schnikes! I never actually heard what was going on in last night’s bumper for the finale. Rusted Esteem and Saul of breath repeating the vacuum cleaning guy’s code!!

It's in color. Hmm...

Good point about the bail bondsman thing, nice catch.

BTW, I'm not a huge fan of the B/W, I think a fade to color a few episodes ago would have been fine. It just seems like the episodes are missing some of their cinematic richness. I still crack up seeing Saul at the crossroads, is that supposed to be a little homage to Tom Hanks castaway?

He had to make it look like a B&E otherwise the mark/police would know about any impending hack of accounts. Regardless of true value, the merch had to be grabbed or there would have been no reason to go in there in the first place. When he decided to do that, the mark was still asleep and the cops hadn't arrived and weren't expected.

The B&W episodes are on par with any major film that utilizes B&W. Just outstanding television that will be hard to top.

Jeffie, Marion and Jeeves take down Saul. In reality he was his own undoing. He turned into a big prick once Kim left him. She was the “Jimmy” anchor. My son remarked that one of the most disturbing scenes was the creepy dude banging Kim and muttering “yep”. Now how will it end? Suicide by cop? Vacuum cleaner guy? Or just an arrest and jail? Will Kim see him again?

I thought the "yep" thing was hilarious. Who wants to volunteer to employ it with their significant other and report back the results?

I also just had a hard time believing Kim would accept this life. I get she's trying to avoid any temptation, but away from Jimmy, she was nothing but good it seemed. And had way too much brains, empathy, etc to accept this most mundane of possible lives surrounded by nothing but mundane people and mundane conversations. I guess if you watch someone get shot in the head in front of you, and because of you, maybe that allows it, but sheesh.

I’m thinking Saul is dead at the end, by his own hand.

So what are some guesses for the final song to end the series (and the greater BB universe)?

I’ll throw the Johnny Cash cover of Hurt out there.

Kim at the airport standing under the “Frontier” and “Alaska” signs, a nod to her declining to call Ed the Cleaner and start a new life.

Someone pointed out: Jesse appears to Kim out of the shadows in the exact same way Walter appears to Skyler out of the shadows in the last episode of Breaking Bad. Both episodes directed by Gilligan.

Jimmy without Kim.....

If they're going to stick to the Bad Company ending, maybe it concludes with Glen watching Kim return to Florida, she pulls up in a cab, he opens the front door, gives her a knowing glance, fade to black with "yep"

Ha! Good one, but Bad Company is a different band than Badfinger.

Was Ed ever in play for Kim? Why would she need to use him?

Jimmy without Kim.....

Life is hard. Life for many folks is very hard. Some days the challenges come from those we encounter, some days the challenges come from situations we create ourselves. Do you trust others? Do you trust yourself?

What a show. Wow. Enjoy the simple pleasures like bitching about a fish taco in the middle of Nebraska well past midnight.

To start a new life, clean. Can she even show her face in Titusville now? I'm sure it crossed her mind. And even if she never considered it, we all know she did have that option.
I doubt she has/had the funds for it. She left Jimmy before Sandpiper (and didn't take her share anyway).

Oh, that ship sailed. The only way she could have done this was with the Sandpiper money, right at the beginning, if she had kept her share.

“They understandably didn’t want to give away too much about next Monday’s series ender, but Seehorn called it “so thoughtful” and “so respectful of the intelligence level of our fans,” adding: “I’m still thinking about the ending.” Odenkirk summed up the finale in three succinct words: “Hard-won truth.” Gilligan, meanwhile, had a stark warning for fans: “Stock up on Depends.”

For the first time in decades I had a dream about a TV show where I was immersed in the show with the characters. This time it was BCS, last one was probably Baywatch.

I saw this as Kim not trusting herself to make decisions, so she immersed herself in a life where she just allowed others to make all the decisions. She was even indecisive in creating the sprinkler brochure despite being incredibly knowledgeable and thorough in the clips they showed of her verifying specs and on the shop floor. On the flip side, Gene is starting to trust himself too much and his decisions end up costing him. I think this is where they work well together to find some semblance of balance in the decision making process, and why I think that somehow they end up together in some sense at the end of this.

Great catch on the sprinkler brochure! Gilligan, the man has an eye for detail. Wow.

I tried to explain to my wife last night the depth of the show, the feelings it leaves me with, maybe lessons, the shear brilliance and genius of it all and found the challenge of doing that impossible.

She has not watched this with me nor did she watch Breaking Bad and just can’t fathom how a show of this caliber can resonate inside your mind like a good drug.

My wife humors me as well. She’s watched the show and appreciates it but just smiles when I go into rhapsodies about it.

And, honestly, “Waterworks” is just great television. Even the uninitiated can appreciate that.

About Kim being indecisive, look back at how she positions the table before her meeting with Cliff Main in which Jimmy will drive by in Howard’s borrowed car. The only thing missing in E 12 is Kim’s staccato heel-tapping.

The fish taco bit happened in Omaha, but who can keep up with so many details? A very rich show, indeed.

Thank you for the correction. Yes it did, so much swirling through my mind the morning after an episode. I will watch Waterworks a second time later today or tomorrow

I really appreciate the tapestry of this show. I can't appreciate the music (despite you guys' innumerable posts on the music in the show, much appreciated and educational) but the way Gilligan and Gould and their directors mold every scene, wow, I don't miss a thing.
